Dear Dorko Family,
Jim and I worked together at Roslyn School and I have many fond memories of him. For several years his office was right across the hall from my room and we would get together to talk and share laughs when time permitted. When I discovered he had found a desk chair with wheels for another teacher I asked him if he could get me one. He said it might take some time as he found them at garage sales and wouldn't pay more than $5.00 for one. He found me one and I used it for many years. Jim was a caring and generous person who enriched my life professionally and personally. He will be greatly missed.
With deepest sympathy,
Melinda DeLaney

I was very saddened to hear of Jim Dorko's passing. Jim and I were close friends for fifty years. We were teaching partners at Ardsley School in the early 1960's. My condolences to Jimmy and Denise. Jack Nelson

Dear Dorko Family,
Your father was the curriculum specialist at Roslyn while my children attended there. He was truly a gentleman and an enjoyable person to be around. He made a difference in many of our children's lives. He will be missed. God be with you all!
