There are no words to express our sorrow. A wonderful soul has left the earth creating a void that no one can fill. How lucky were we to have a friend like Joan?

Mrs. Metzger was one of the greatest teachers I ever had and most wonderful people I ever knew. Knowing her was an absolute pleasure. You will be in prayers, and know that she impacted not only my life, but the lives of countless others by her supportive, friendly, kind personality and her warm, inviting smile.

Our daughter was blessed to have Mrs. Metzger for the first half of the last school year. She was an amazing teacher, and really had a special gift of knowing how to bring out the best in her students. Our daughter and her friends have always had wonderful things to say about Mrs. Metzger. She will truly be missed by the OLG community.

There are no words to express my sadness. Terry and Joan and I had a special friendship that will forever be missing our beloved friend. We shared the happiest of times and the hardest of times. The world will be diminished now because we have lost such a wonderful soul.
