My heartfelt condolences and prayers for the family.
Mr. Mauro was the first to instruct & certifiy me in CPR at Council Rock H.S. (Class of 1983). A magnificent educator and mentor, he was instrumental in inspiring my direction in the medical field. Patient and pleasant, he did expect excellence, and that was a large inspiring virtue to his credit.
I really can not fathom the thousands and thousands of students, athletes, colleagues, and community members that Mr. Mauro’s life touched in his profession, volunteerism, and personal life. He didn’t have to act cool, he was cool! Thirty-seven years ago, I was taught a skill set that I have used throughout my career and I will always be thankful for the man that made that happen for me.
Mr. Mauro was a luminary and an example for so many young lives and some of us not so young anymore. mjc

So sorry for your loss. I remember Coach Mauro coached the boys team when I played Basketball at BUCKS back in the late 80’s; May the God of peace bring you comfort during this difficult time. (Psalms 46:1)

Deepest condolences to the Mauro family. I will always value Bill as a gentleman, scholar, athlete, teacher and family man. He set the bar high as a Renaissance man. But, his intrinsic worth as an individual was his authenticity and positivity - what a great combination of qualities to inspire students and faculty. When I think of Bill Mauro, I will always recall his welcoming concern to help, his sense of humor and enjoyment of life, and his inherent sense of fairness. Rest In Peace, and "may flights of angels/Sing thee to thy rest." Xox Andrea
