Dear Michael, Walter and family,
I just recently learned that Walt was at Pine Run. I taught at Unami many years ago with Walt. Matter of fact, Walt got me to move to Unami from Council Rock...I worked with Walt at NADC back in the summers of the late 60's and 70's. Also at the Bucks Co prison.
Your Dad and I shared many a good laugh together. The stories we shared...
Walt was truly one of a kind.
My wife Pat and I set out yesterday to visit Walt at Pine Run. We were shocked to find out he passed away two weeks ago.
We moved away from Bucks Co and our lives went very different ways but Walt will always be a big part of my life. I will remember him as he is pictured on this page.
You have our sincere sympathies.

Your dad was loved by many and a good teacher. He taught Mike how to talk and now he is the best talker around. He taught me to fly fish and now I am the best fly fisherman around. He taught Wally to succeed and succeed he did. His legacy lives on. I am so sorry.

My condolences come from my friends who knew him well. Dave & Diane Brinker would have been there, but they are now all together in heaven.
Very sorry for your loss,
Betsy Gensamer

From my family to yours know that you are in our prayers. Let his memory and lessons taught be used as an example of how to experience a well lived life rooted in love and family values. The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree. God Bless.

My deepest condolences to the Smirconish family at this time of loss to a patriarch. Mr. Smirconish, your son Michael is one of the most prolific lawyers and journalists of his generation and as a fan of his, I wanted to offer my sympathies and to say to family and friends, he must have had a phenomenal father to be the man he is today.
My thoughts and prayers to the Smirconish family.
