Condolences for
Bernard F. “Bernie” Brown

It has been one month since Dad left us for a better place. In a bind that day, I borrowed dads sneakers after mine had fallen apart running with Thomas. I realized for the first time dad and I wore the same size shoe. I know it would have given dad great pleasure knowing I able to use his sneakers. Dad was kind, generous and always thinking of others. Erin and Thomas were the apple in his eye and they adored their Pop-Pop. Dad walked a great path in his life. I am proud and honored to walk in the shoes of such a great man. Shoes don't necessarily make the man, but a distinguished man can certainly make an ordinary shoe into patented leathers. At the end of the day I asked myself, "am I able to fill those shoes?" Well let's just say if everyone would stride to walk in dads shoes even just a little, this world would certainly shine brighter.
I MISS YOU, DAD!

I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Bernie, from getting rosie's water ice & pretzels on Sundays at Mom-Mom's to playing football,to taking me to the racetrack for my 21st birthday, our trip through Ireland in our "yellow submarine" and for always reminding me when the Twilight Zone marathon was on. I was very lucky to have Uncle Bernie as my uncle. I will miss you everyday. I love you! xoxoxo

I like to say that my husband and I moved in the village about 3 1/2 yrs ago and Bernie was the first person we seen, he welcome us to the village and told as that there was bingo going on that nite and why don't we come to it. Well we went because my husband said lets start off on a good foot with our neighbor and there he was in the corner of the clubhouse with is family and raised his arm for us to go over there and sit with them. They all made us fell like we belong here. He also would help us if we need it. The fire alarm would always go off when we would cook, so he would come over and tell us to open the windows. He said one time, you don't have to be afraid to open windows here your not in the city any more and laughed. We were blessed to have him and Caroline as our neighbor, we will miss him very much. Rest in peace Bernie and you will always be in our heart. Oh yes bernie we will look out for Caroline always.
