Condolences for
Bartholomew Brown

Saturday, February 11th | Comment by: Eero Vaara

I only heard the tragic news very recently, but want to offer my condolences. I learned to know him in EMLYON. He was an amazingly positive and wonderful MBA student who made a great difference in my course on M&As. I really enjoyed our talks over coffee and learned quite a lot from him. God bless him.

When I first met Bart he was 12 yrs old. At that time he was a quiet and shy kid. We met the Brown family when my son joined the Chastity Support Group. As time went on Bart and his family became close to the Nardi family. We had some great times together watching our children grow up. As a teenager Bart was still quiet and funny in his own way. I still remember Bart and his friend Jeff climbed in my side window when no one was home. When my husband come home they were sipping strawberry milk and said "Hi, Mr. Nardi we're waiting for Jason". We can laugh at it now. The Nardi family was close to Bart. I remember Bart biking from Bridesburg to Brigantine NJ with his brother Thadd and my son Jason on the hottest day of the summer. They were all in high school. They had some great times together. Bart grew up to become a brillient, quiet and humble man. Bart lived life to the fullest and died doing what he loved best. He loved the Lord with all his heart and I know he with the Lord in heaven. I thank the Lord every day now that I knew Bart and that he was such a great friend to the Nardi family. To Bart I say,"Don't worry about your Mom. I'll take care of her the best I can. ENJOY your new life with Our Lord. Give Mr. Nardi a hug for me".

Love
Mrs. Nardi

Bart was one of my roommates back at Lehigh and I am so sad to hear of his passing. He always had such a tremendously positive spirit about him. He never complained and he really demonstrated to me what exactly it meant to be hard working and determined. He always had such an amazing love for learning and I will never forget when he came back to the house one day during finals laughing. When I asked him what was so funny he went on to tell me that he had just taken a final for fun in a class he didn't take. He was laughing because he thought he did well on the test, but because he wasn't signed up for the class he would never really know what his score was. I am sure it was an A.

Bart you will be missed, but I know that you are with the Lord and I pray for your family and friends comfort.

His death a tragedy, but his life otherwise. He loved adventure & truly lived the fullest for being only 33 yrs old. An amazing, intelligent, admirable, talented, and devoted family & friend to many. He died in the most honorable way.... cause he lived.
Bart, meeting you, though for brief, is an honor. You will be a legend to some & looked up to by many. May you rest in peace. May your family & friends find comfort knowing you walk with God. My heart goes out to them. Our last words were spoken in German, so I feel it fitting to say...
Gute nacht freund

I am very sorry for your tragic loss. I did not know Bart but he sounds like an incredible young man. I found out about his loss from The King's Men. You will all be remembered in my Mass tomorrow and in my prayers. God bless you. Fr. Joe Coffey
