Lucy Festa Phillips of New Britain Township died peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at New Seasons in Chalfont with her devoted family by her side. She was 95.

Born in Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County on July 25,1916, Lucy was the daughter of the late Vincent and Carmella (Sassone) Festa. She married her beloved husband James V. Phillips in1937 at our Lady of Mount Carmel in Southampton. They shared 46 wonderful years of marriage, before he passed away in 1983. Mother of the late James V. Phillips, Jr.; she is also predeceased by her 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Lucy was a graduate of Lower Moreland High School and the Philadelphia Business School. Lucy worked as a Payroll Manager for many years before retiring from SPS Technologies Inc. in Jenkintown. Lucy was a communicant at St. Jude and previously St. Albert the Great Church in Huntingdon Valley and Maternity BVM in Bustleton. Lucy was excellent at cooking; she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and Swedish Embroidery. Her talents expanded to includeSquare Dancing and gardening where she attended to an amazing Azalea garden lovingly designed by her husband Jim.

She will be long remembered for her loving ways, the twinkle in her eyes and her beautiful smile.

Lucy is survived by her loving children; daughter Andrea Torok and her husband Steven, son Michael T. Phillips and his wife Pauline A. and daughter Luanne Phillips and her husband Robert Wagner and son Mark J. Phillips. She is also survived by her devoted 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday July 23, from 9:00 am until 10:15 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (Rt. 202 at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, and to her Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave. Chalfont.

Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
