Marilyn M. Fisher (Kemler)

July 22nd, 2012

Marilyn M. Fisher, nee Kemler, of Southampton, and formerly of Levittown, died peacefully on Sunday, July 22nd, at St. Joseph's Manor in Meadowbrook, Pa. She was 86.

She was the beloved wife of the late Jay S. Fisher.

Born in Fern Glen, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Skoff Kemler.

Mrs. Fisher and her husband were one of the original families of Levittown. She left school at an early age to join the workforce in the fabric mills. She started out at Duplan's Silk Mill in Hazelton, Pa., and then moved on to the Nuremberg dress factory as a finisher. When Marilyn and her husband Jay moved to Levittown in 1952, she worked at Kresge's 5 &10 in the Levittown Shopping Center for a short while, and then later she worked for 28 years for the Bristol Township School District as a custodian until her retirement in 1986. ln her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, creating memories that will last forever. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has had the pleasure to know and love her.

Marilyn is survived by her loving children; Bonita L. Barker and her husband Gary, of Southampton, Pa and Jeffrey J Fisher and his wife Judy, of Hazleton, Pa. She is also survived by her grand daughter Colleen Stewart and her companion Dave Abrams, her 3 great grand children, Sean, Sydney, and Keegan, of Trevose, Pa., her sister Thelma Singley, of Ellenton, Fla., a brother-in-law, James L Fisher of Sugarloaf, Pa, and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn's family will receive condolences on Saturday, July 28 from1:00 PM until her Memorial Service at 2.00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr lll Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, Pd., 18954. lnterment will be private.

Helene D. VanFossen (Cummiskey)

July 19th, 2012

Helene D. Cummiskey VanFossen, 91, of Southampton and formerly of Newtown, died July 19 at Abington Memorial Hospital.

She was the bride, best friend and soul mate of 64 years of the late Thomas R. VanFossen.

Born in Philadelphia she was one of the eleven children of the late Charles J. and Marie A. Archibald Cummiskey.

Mrs. VanFossen was a resident of Newtown and Communicant of St. Andrew’s for over 30 years. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love her.
Mrs. Van Fossen is survived by her loving and devoted sons Thomas VanFossen,Jr. and his wife Ruth, Robert VanFossen and his wife Teri. She was also the proud grandmother of her six grandchildren; Dr. Brian VanFossen (Betsi), Ms. Mary-Kate VanFossen Gadsby (Justin), Dr. Amy Lynne VanFossen, Mrs. Kelly Riseigh (TJ), Mr. Christopher VanFossen and Ms. Megan VanFossen (Fiancee Dane) and great grandmother of Ellie VanFossen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Sunday, July 22, from 3:00 PM until 5:00PM at the Joseph A. Lucy Phillips (Festa)

July 19th, 2012

Lucy Festa Phillips of New Britain Township died peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at New Seasons in Chalfont with her devoted family by her side. She was 95.

Born in Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County on July 25,1916, Lucy was the daughter of the late Vincent and Carmella (Sassone) Festa. She married her beloved husband James V. Phillips in1937 at our Lady of Mount Carmel in Southampton. They shared 46 wonderful years of marriage, before he passed away in 1983. Mother of the late James V. Phillips, Jr.; she is also predeceased by her 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Lucy was a graduate of Lower Moreland High School and the Philadelphia Business School. Lucy worked as a Payroll Manager for many years before retiring from SPS Technologies Inc. in Jenkintown. Lucy was a communicant at St. Jude and previously St. Albert the Great Church in Huntingdon Valley and Maternity BVM in Bustleton. Lucy was excellent at cooking; she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and Swedish Embroidery. Her talents expanded to includeSquare Dancing and gardening where she attended to an amazing Azalea garden lovingly designed by her husband Jim.

She will be long remembered for her loving ways, the twinkle in her eyes and her beautiful smile.

Lucy is survived by her loving children; daughter Andrea Torok and her husband Steven, son Michael T. Phillips and his wife Pauline A. and daughter Luanne Phillips and her husband Robert Wagner and son Mark J. Phillips. She is also survived by her devoted 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday July 23, from 9:00 am until 10:15 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (Rt. 202 at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, and to her Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave. Chalfont.

Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.

Daniel Thomas Shay

July 18th, 2012

Daniel Thomas Shay, our beloved father passed away the evening of July 18th after a wonderful life filled with love and compassion for everyone. He will be missed by his children, Margaret Jolly or Mickey as he liked to call her and her husband Robert whom he admired, his devoted son George, who more than surpassed his father’s expectations as a man, a son and a father, and his wife Holly who always kept him amazed. Also his daughter-in-law Jean Shay Hritz, whose bravery he appreciated. He joins his wife Kathryn, his sisters Joanna and Bertha and his son Daniel, whom he has missed greatly. He leaves his legacy with all his wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren, Robert J. Jolly Jr., his wife Christina and their four children, Staff Sgt. Jonathan Shay, his wife Rachel and their three children, Peter Shay, his wife Eileen and two children, Dr. Travis Shay and his wife Ni and Brandie Raymond and her husband David and their two children.

Our father was a family man; he enjoyed watching his family grow and was proud of all of their accomplishments. There was nothing ordinary about our dad. He was employed at Penn Fruit Company and PA Liquor Control Board before retiring to help take care of his grandchildren.

He proudly served his country during wartime aboard the USS Saratoga and loved to tell his grandchildren and anyone who would listen stories about life on ship.

He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Bede Church. His religion meant everything to him, his love of life and his belief in our Lord, eases the pain of his absence from our family.

We thank the staff at Attleboro Nursing Home in Langhorne for the exemplary care of our father.

There will be no viewing; we ask that you remember him as you knew him in life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass 10:00am Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966.

Interment will be private at Newtown Cemetery in Newtown.

Weldon Annable III

July 15th, 2012

Weldon Grant Annable III of Yardley lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, July 15, 2012. Grant was 75.

Born in Evanston, Illinois, he was the son of the late Weldon and Julia Annable.

Grant graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and won the G.A. Ross Award for Outstanding Senior Male Student in 1959. While there, he was a member of Iron Key, an honorary organization for student leaders, and Purdue’s Navy ROTC. He went on to become an officer in the Civil Engineer Corps in the Navy and then to Harvard Business School where he obtained an MBA in 1965 which paved the way for a long and successful career as an astute businessman.

Grant loved traveling overseas and learning about new places and cultures. His time in business and in the Navy took him to many faraway places such as Vietnam, Russia and Kyrgyzstan. An atlas was rarely far from his grasp.

Grant also had a sense of humor that he was ready to use whenever he could. Friends and family will always remember his love of laughter itself. A quote by Andre Gide tells us: ”One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time.” We find comfort in the fact that Grant is off on a new adventure but he will be dearly missed.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 18 years, Lucy Annable. Grant is survived by his son David Annable of Denver, CO, daughter Susan Mulcahy and her husband Hugh of London, England, step-daughter Anya Liaschenko and her husband Tim of Philadelphia, brother Ross Annable and his wife Michele of Harrisburg, NC, sister Jean Annable of Portland,OR and Scottie Annable of Centennial, CO, the mother of David and Susan. He was the proud grandfather to Max and Evelyn Mulcahy.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, July 19 from 10:30am until his Funeral Service 11:30am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment with military honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown. Lorraine A. Kintsch (Patton)

July 15th, 2012

Lorraine A. Kintsch (nee Patton) of Ann’s Choice, Warminster, formerly of Churchville died Sunday July 15, 2012 at Renaissance Gardens. She was 83.

Born in Philadelphia she was the beloved wife of 61 years to John J. Kintsch, daughter of the late Thomas and Marie V. Humes Patton, sister of the late Dolores Shellenberger and Thomas Patton.

Lorraine was a resident of Churchville for over 30 years before moving to Ann’s Choice 7 and half years ago. She was a former Manager for various PNB Banks and notably as Assistant Vice-President of the PNB Bristol Borough branch for many years. She gave her time and talents too many organizations, she served as President of the Bristol Exchange Club and was very active in various charities: Children afflicted with Spina Bifida and Abused Children. The Bucks County YWCA honored Lorraine among other Bucks County women in their first, “Women Who Make a Difference” awards banquet in 1992. Lorraine was also an excellent floral designer and was involved in many of the Bridal Fairs that took place in some of Philadelphia’s major department stores.

Lorraine will be long remembered for her gentle way and loving smile.

In addition to her beloved husband John, she is survived by her devoted children; Kathleen K. Lezotte, John J. Kintsch, Jr. and James T. Kintsch she was the loving grandmother, who was affectionately known as “MeMom” to, Maria Reilly (Billy), Michelle Pollock (Brian), Jeffrey Kintsch (Katie), Cara Kent (Eric), Jillian Colangelo (Nicholas), Craig Lezotte, Christopher, Matthew and Emily Kintsch and great grandmother to Brady, Karleigh and Gavin.

Lorraine’s family will receive condolences on Tuesday July 24, from 9:30 am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd, Richboro.

Entombment will follow in Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge.

David S. Spadaccino

July 15th, 2012

David S. Spadaccino of Upper Southampton died Sunday July 15, 2012 at his home. He was 58.

Born in Abington he was the son of Louis F. Spadaccino and the late Martha Furner Spadaccino.

David was a life long resident of Bucks County, he was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1972 and attended Colorado State University.

For the past 27 years, David has been associated with B and R Family Fitness Center in Feasterville. David was a man of many talents; his creativity let him excel in everything he did. A natural athlete he loved golf, hunting in the mountains of Pennsylvania, salt water fishing and boating at the Jersey shore.

He will be deeply missed by all who came to know and love him.

In addition to his father Louis, he is survived by his 3 children; Danielle Martha Spadaccino and her fiancé Anthony Palermo, Cody Louis Spadaccino and his fiancée Beth Holton and Taylor Leigh Spadaccino, and one brother Michael F. Spadaccino and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

David’s funeral services and interment were private.

David’s family would appreciate contributions in his memory be made to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.

Rose Duome (Visconti)

Rose Duome of Newtown died peacefully Friday, July 13, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 90.

Rose was the beloved wife of 71 years to Joseph J. Duome.

Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Caroline Gallo Visconti and the mother of the late CarolAnne Duome.

Rose was a long time resident of New York before relocating to Newtown in 1990 to be near her grandchildren.

In addition to her adoring husband, Rose is survived by her dearest children and their spouses; MargaretRose and Lloyd Robinson of Los Angeles, CA and MarcAntony and Francine Duome of Pipersville. She was the proud Nana to her two cherished grandchildren, Jessica and Joseph.

Kathleen Brennan (Cawley)

Kathleen M. Cauley Brennan of Langhorne died Thursday July 12, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 64.

Born in Philadelphia, Kathleen was the tolerant wife of Michael J. Brennan, Jr., for 44 years. Kathleen was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School; she was a resident of Langhorne for the past 27 years.

Kathleen was a faithful communicant of the Church of St. Andrew and an Administrative Assistant at St. Mary Medical Center for 20 years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters, Katie Barrett and her husband Michael and Riki Brennan and one brother James F. Cauley, Jr.

Kathleen’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday July 18, 2012 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:15am at the Church of St. Andrew 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown, PA 18940.

Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

Eva Klemmt (Schwaibold)

July 12th, 2012

Eva Klemmt of Mount Laurel, N.J. passed away on July 12th, 2012 at Twining Village in Holland, Pa. after a lengthy illness.

Eva was born in Munich, Germany on October 16, 1932, and came to the United States to start her new life in 1962.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughter Gwen Dalesio, her husband Louis, and her grandson Nicholas, all of Holland, Pa. She is also survived by her beloved identical twin sister Lore Shipp and her husband Wayne of Mount Laurel, N.J. and her nephew Stanley Shipp of Philadelphia, Pa.

Eva was a beautiful and loving woman who was able to see the good in all. She had a warm smile and generous heart that will be missed by all who knew her. She had a mischievous side that would make you laugh, and a gentle touch that would warm your heart. We will carry her legacy of goodness with us always. God may have added another angel to His heavens, but we have lost one here on earth.
