Helene D. Cummiskey VanFossen, 91, of Southampton and formerly of Newtown, died July 19 at Abington Memorial Hospital.
She was the bride, best friend and soul mate of 64 years of the late Thomas R. VanFossen.
Born in Philadelphia she was one of the eleven children of the late Charles J. and Marie A. Archibald Cummiskey.
Mrs. VanFossen was a resident of Newtown and Communicant of St. Andrew’s for over 30 years. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love her.
Mrs. Van Fossen is survived by her loving and devoted sons Thomas VanFossen,Jr. and his wife Ruth, Robert VanFossen and his wife Teri. She was also the proud grandmother of her six grandchildren; Dr. Brian VanFossen (Betsi), Ms. Mary-Kate VanFossen Gadsby (Justin), Dr. Amy Lynne VanFossen, Mrs. Kelly Riseigh (TJ), Mr. Christopher VanFossen and Ms. Megan VanFossen (Fiancee Dane) and great grandmother of Ellie VanFossen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Sunday, July 22, from 3:00 PM until 5:00PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA and to her Funeral Mass Monday July 23 at 11:00AM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown, PA 18940.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to to the Church of St. Andrew at the address above or to Abington Memorial Hospital Hospice, 1200 Old York Rd. Abington, PA 19001
