Bruce A Smith, a life long resident of Wrightstown, died peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. He was 53.

Born in Doylestown, he was the beloved husband of 35 years to Michele E. Gormley Smith, devoted son of the late Robert J. and Bernadette M. Finnerty Smith.

Bruce was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1977, and has been the proud owner of R. J. Smith Plumbing and Heating for the past 25 years having learned his profession from his late father. Bruce was a man of many talents who loved his family, he especially loved the time he spent traveling to Hawaii, Tahiti and Aruba to scuba dive. He enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas for craps tournaments. He was a die hard Eagles fan who had endless hope for the team.

His courageous battle with cancer never slowed him down; the highlight of the past few years even with his challenges was taking the love of his life Michele to Aruba for some well deserved fun in the sun and pool volleyball. He will be deeply missed by his caring and supportive family and friends.
