James D. Stampone of Newtown, Pennsylvania died Friday October 3, 2014 at Chandler Hall Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was 93 years old.

James was the beloved husband of the late Roselind Aspromonte Stampone and the late Helen Weime Stampone.

Born in East Paterson, New Jersey the son of the late Rosario J. and Regina Marino Stampone.

He was a former resident of Wyckoff, New Jersey retired to Boynton Beach, Florida before moving to Newtown, Pennsylvania in 2012. James, a loving husband, caring father, and faithful friend loved spending his leisure time on the golf course.

He is survived by his children and their spouses; Joyce DeMartine of Nokomis, Florida James Stampone, Jr. and his wife Katharine Le Royer of Pownal, Maine, Sandra Burdulis and her husband Robert of Newtown, Pennsylvania, Donna Stampone and her husband George Colello of Sudbury, Massachusetts. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 131 Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA 18940. Future interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson, NJ.
