David Matthew Lutz is now at peace after a difficult battle with cancer. David died at home on May 20, 2013 in the loving arms of his parents, John and Patricia Lutz of Upper Holland, knowing that he was cherished always. He was 38 years old.

David was a 1992 graduate of Harry S. Truman High School and Bucks County Technical School. David was trained as an HVAC technician and was proud of his mechanical abilities. He had a deep love for his family, all in the animal kingdom, and his best friend from the age of three, Alex. The simple things in life gave David pleasure. He enjoyed playing baseball, soccer, and racing go karts with his father. He was also an avid television and movie buff.

Along with his parents, he will be sadly missed by his loving sister, Amy Mahoney (Dennis) and nieces, Brigid, Claire, and Nora of Holland, PA; maternal grandparents, Robert and Corinne McGranaghan of Newtown, PA; paternal grandmother, Betty Hagan of Lancaster, PA; as well as his uncle, Robert McGranaghan (James Beck) of Denver, CO; his aunt, Karen Zimmerman, of Lancaster PA; his aunt and godmother, Eileen McGranaghan of Philadelphia, PA; and cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle and godfather, Michael McGranaghan, and grandfather, Clifford Hagan.

David’s family sincerely thanks Lois Nevrincean, his VNA hospice nurse, for her devoted and loving care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 7:00-9:00pm on Friday, May 24th at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and to his Funeral Mass, 10:00am Saturday May 25th at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s memory may be made to Sacred Heart Home, 1315 West Hunting Park Avenue, Phila., PA 19140
