Daniel J. McKay of Langhorne, PA died peacefully surrounded by his loving children on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. He was 77.
He was the beloved husband for 50 years of the late Jean M. Del Santo McKay.
Born in Southington, CT, he was the son of the late Daniel J. and Theresa DeLuco and father of the late Daniel John McKay.
Mr. McKay proudly served in the National Guard for many years throughout his life. He was a resident of Langhorne for the past 8 years and had formerly resided in the communities of Churchville and Buckingham where he was a former parishioner of St. Bede the Venerable Church, St. Vincent de Paul Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, and Queen of the Universe Church. In his leisure time, Daniel enjoyed playing golf, watching Celtic’s Basketball, and traveling with his wife. Daniel will be greatly missed as a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and friend.
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Kim Alison Brady and her husband, Scott, of Warminster, PA and his son, Keith P. McKay of Haddonfield, NJ. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Kizilski, his brother Richard R. McKay, 5 loving grandchildren, Brooke, Paige, Dylan, Anderson, and Kendrick, 1 great grand daughter Madyson, and his longtime companion Anna Ruff.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday evening, June 2, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954 and on Monday June 3, 2013 at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd. Levittown, PA 19056 from 9:00AM until his Funeral Mass 10:00AM.
Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to American Heart Association, Memorial Fulfillment Center, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.
