Dennis P. O’Connor passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 24, 2018 at age 71.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Maurice F. and Eleanor (McGowan) O’Connor, and brother to the late Eleanor Leigh and John Patrick.

Dennis was a graduate of Father Judge High School.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam War.  Dennis was a man who continued serving his fellow Americans by serving as a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician for the City of Philadelphia for 20 years.  After retirement he worked as a public adjuster.

Dennis enjoyed tennis, working-out, baseball, golf, and traveling.  Dennis was an avid golfer and enjoyed the “Bensalem Thursday Golf Group” where he achieved Hole-In-One status.  He was a past member of the Levittown Golf Association, the American Singles Golf Association Philadelphia Chapter, and a Member of the Philadelphia Fire Fighter and Paramedics Local No. 22 Union but above all Dennis truly cherished the times he spent creating special memories with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving son, Christopher O’Connor; beloved life-partner Lori Alvarez; devoted sister Patricia Coyle (Steve), brother Maurice O’Connor (Ceil), and several nieces and nephews.

Dennis’ family will receive condolences on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd (at Holland Rd.),  Richboro, PA and his Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA. His interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
