Thomas J. Jones passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was 79. He was the devoted husband of Dorothy H. Jones for 54 years!!

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son to the late Joseph and Ann Esmond Jones.  Tom was one of eight children proudly hailing from Kensington and Allegheny.  Tom spent time in Germany with the army before starting a career with Florsheim Shoes and later his own business as a State Farm Agent. Tom could be found spending time golfing, relaxing in Sea Isle, watching the history channel, sports, and even the food channel with his grandkids, playing pickle ball and sharing jokes and beers with his friends and family. Tom was described as having a special presence about him that made you feel glad to know him and that he was glad to know you. 

In addition to Dorothy, Tom is survived by his loving daughters; Stephanie Fisher (Joe), Christina Davidson (Doug), Jennifer Zahor (Jason), and Monica Quigley (Frank) and known as “Poppy” to his 11 greatly loved grandchildren who all feel blessed to have had him in their lives.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 9:30 A.M. until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA 19440. His interment will take privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or as Tom had done so many times, perform a random act of kindness in Tom’s memory.
