William V. Wagner of Palm Coast, Florida died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at residence in the presence of his family. He was 79.

Bill was the beloved husband of 54 years to Patricia Carol Anton Wagner.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Richard and Claire Crawford Wagner and the brother of the late Elizabeth Casella and the late Joseph Wagner.

Bill was a longtime resident of the Port Richmond section and of Parkwood Manor both in Philadelphia before moving to Palm Coast Florida with his late wife Pat. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School and had received his undergraduate degree in accounting from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. He had a distinguished career with various firms in the Philadelphia area throughout his lifetime. He had worked with Rohm Haas, Johnson and Johnson, Louis Hein Company, Airline Hydraulics and as the Chief Financial Officer with Michelle's Bakery in Philadelphia prior to his retirement.

Bill was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially, the Philadelphia Flyers from the conception of their franchise in Philadelphia and also the Villanova Basketball program. He enjoyed playing golf with friends and was known for playing pinochle with his close family and friends throughout the years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and the world with his beloved wife Patricia, his family and his close friends. Bill was self learned and could engage anyone on various topics from politics to both American and European History.

Bill will be remembered for two amazing qualities. He demonstrated his love through words and deeds for his family and friends, especially for his cherished wife Patricia. Additionally, he was a perfect example of a Catholic by living and promoting his faith. Bill always put his God first, he often prayed to the Blessed Mother and attempted to leave a situation better than he found it.

Bill would be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of loving and knowing him.

Bill is survived by his two sons, William V. Wagner Jr. of Newtown, PA and Dr. Robert C. Wagner and his wife Erika of Deland, Fl. He was the special grand pop to his cherished grandson Kristofer and the brother of Richard Wagner and Mary Wagner Howell.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 12:00pm until his Funeral Mass 1:00pm on Friday, December 7th, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church , 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32134 and again on Wednesday, December 12th from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass 10:30am in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966.
