Grace Emilie Foggia (Krause)

December 1st, 2018

Grace Emilie Foggia of Warwick passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.  She was 65.

Grace was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Foggia with whom she had shared 39 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Ervin D. and Grace E. Krause.

Having possessed a life-long passion for animals, Grace entered the pet care industry with drive and determination following her graduation from George Washington High School in Philadelphia.  She began her career with the former Bethayres Kennel before moving to the Richboro Animal Inn, where she served as the manager for over 30 years, quickly becoming a familiar and friendly face to patrons.  Grace always felt fortunate to spend six days of the week doing a job she loved , and for her it never truly felt like work at all.

Grace was a simple woman.  She enjoyed dinners out with her husband and spent much of her time caring for others around her.  Whether it was annual holiday basket deliveries or just a simple phone call to see how you were, it was clear that she always put others before herself.  She was compassionate and caring to all and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Grace also enjoyed caring for her home and gardens, a place where she welcomed friends and family with home cooked meals and lots of love.

She will be dearly missed as the best sister, Godmother, aunt, and friend that anyone could ever ask for.

Surviving are her sister, Paula Sinclair and her husband, David and niece, Nicolette; and cousins, Alan, Julie and Justin Leonard; as well as countless other cousins, nieces, and nephews; and her beloved Poodle, Arabella.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her K-9 companion (daughter), April.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Grace’s family on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 1:00 PM until her Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954.  Her interment will be private.

Edward M. Lacy

November 30th, 2018

Edward M. Lacy, “Lightening” of Churchville, formerly of Holland died peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 81.

Born in Philadelphia, Edward was the beloved husband of 35 years to Josephine E. Janka Lacy; who passed away on March 25th this year.

Ed grew up in the Oxford Circle section of Philadelphia and was a 1955 graduate of North Catholic High School. He loved golf and it didn’t matter if he was playing it or watching it.  He was also a very talented bowler and although he wouldn’t readily admit it, he bowled multiple, perfect, 300 point games.  The reason he didn’t tell people was partly due to his humility but mostly because he couldn’t get a betting game if he told them.

Lightening liked all sports but especially loved to watch football.  Being part of the neighborhood fantasy football group, “Hampton Homies” was something he took very seriously.  It was competitive and fun and he was proud to say that he never came in last.

More than anything he was a loving father, grandfather and devoted husband who lovingly cared for his wife.  Although he never went into the ocean or spent the day sitting on the beach, he did spend his summers at the shore, because his wife loved it there. He spent his time on the porch enjoying the day knowing that they would return home and he would be surrounded by all his family.  The dedication to his family and the love he showed to his wife will always be remembered and appreciated.

He is survived by his children Michael Grafenstine and his wife Joy, Stefanie Morgan and her husband Rick, Jeannie Zbarsky, Megan Fenton and her husband Tom and his sister Trudy Haas.  He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren; Brandy, Jimmy, Michael, Alexis, Jack, Andrew, Liah, Hunter and Lacy. He was predeceased by his sister Mary McCauley.

His family will receive condolences on Tuesday evening December 4, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and on Wednesday morning at St. Vincent de Paul Church 654 Hatboro Rd. Richboro, from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:00am. His interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Pennsylvania Tourette Syndrome Alliance  http://www.patsainc.org
