James William Heflin of Churchville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 21, 2018.

Son of the late Asa and Anna (Brogan) Heflin, step son of the late Regina O’Donnell Heflin and grandfather of the late Kaitlyn Grace Ciccarelli.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Alma (nee Fitzgerald). He was the devoted father of Jean Kane (Gregory), Eileen Delfini (Dan), David Heflin (Karen) and Kristin Ciccarelli. He was loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren: Dylan, Mary Bridget, Brian and Brogan Kane; Nicole, Matthew, Emily and Ava Delfini; Meaghan, Sarah, Anna and Kate Heflin; and Lauren, Connor and Alyssa Ciccarelli.

Jim was a proud graduate of Northeast Catholic High School, where he was captain of the football team, and Drexel University, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. A hospital administrator, he spent 28 years at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Camden, NJ, as Chief Financial Officer. Jim was the Judge of Elections for 12thDistrict, Northampton Township and the AARP Tax Service Coordinator for his area. His second home, which his parents built before his birth in Cape May, NJ, was his favorite place in the world, where he loved to fish in the Delaware Bay, tend to his bountiful vegetable garden and enjoy his family and friends. He was always excited to cheer from the sidelines at his grandchildren’s sporting and other events.
