Margaret R. Moss of Holland, PA died peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook. She was 87.
Born in Philadelphia, Margaret was the beloved wife of the late William A. Moss and the daughter of the late Paul A. and Mary C. Dougherty Hack.
Margaret has been a resident of Holland for over 50 years and was one the many founding parishioners of St. Bede the Venerable Church. She was a devoted stay-at-home mother who with her husband would tend to their gardens and then would preserve the bounty it produced. She enjoyed sewing for her family, keeping a beautiful and meticulously cared for home, reading, and making sure her family was well cared for. Margaret was a devoted Catholic who not only instructed her children in the faith but shared her knowledge of the Catholic Faith with the many CCD classes she taught at St. Bede the Venerable Church. Margaret will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have felt her love and care.
Margaret is survived by her loving children: William A. Moss Jr. and his wife Holly of Chalfont, Bernadette R. Moss of Feasterville, Jeanette M. Snyder and her husband Ken of Sinking Springs, Mary Elizabeth Schachte and her husband John of Ashland, PA, and Joseph A. Moss of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Kepler and Julia Hanley and she will be remembered as the loving grandmother who cherished her 16 dear grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings on Tuesday evening, November 20, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 11:00 to 11:45 am in the Chapel at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon in the main Sanctuary at St. Bede the Venerable Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to St. Bede the Venerable Church at the above address.
