Carolanne T. Wismer passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Philadelphia. She was surrounded by family. She was 54.

She was the beloved wife of William R. Wismer for 28 years.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter to the late Samuel J. and Dorothy McMaster Macy.

In addition to her husband, Carolanne is survived by her loving daughters; Samantha Jo, Caroline, Colleen, and Madison Rose Wismer. She is also survived by her siblings; Joanne Linus, Susie O’Connell, Betty Piccolo, Dianne Coyle, Joseph Macy, and Marianne Brakoniecki. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Stephen Macy and Sandy Ward.

Carolanne dedicated her life to taking care of others, spending 30 years as an oncology nurse at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She was a bright light in the lives of all the people she touched. Her favorite things were enjoying time with her family and friends; camping and vacationing in Sea Isle City and the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Good times never seemed so good.

She was a devoted and extraordinary mother to her four daughters and she was well renowned for her sense of humor and wit, as well as her ability to brighten up any room she entered. Her daughters will remember her most for her undying love and her commitment to life and laughter, in addition to her willingness to deliver advice and encouragement.

The love she had for her husband and family was tangible. This love was something you could not truly comprehend from the outside, but it was so magnetic that everyone was drawn to her. Carolanne’s electric personality, her selflessness, and her ability to put people at ease will be greatly missed especially in times like this, but her love will always be all-encompassing.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 8:30am until 10:30am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11:00AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland PA 18966. Her interment will take privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carolanne’s name may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19111-2427.
