Geraldine L. (nee Yeager) Thompson, of Feasterville, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 49.

She shared her life for the past ten years with her beloved husband, Bruce J. Thompson.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Helen G. (nee Crean) Yeager of Pennsylvania and the late William J. Yeager, and sister to the late John “Budd” Yeager and MaryBeth Pellegrini.

Geri was employed by Waste Managements in community relations for over 10 years. She loved her job, and served on several different boards to benefit the community, enriching many lives.

One of her favorite pastimes was working in her gardens. She enjoyed watching plants grow and “playing” in her garden. She had an eye for detail for the world around her, a talent she used in her job, her home and in her relationships with those she loved. She loved animals, especially her German Shepherd Jax and her cat Zeus.

Geri was thoughtful, considerate and selfless, and touched the lives of many. She had a contagious smile and brought joy to those around her. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her mother and husband, Geri is survived by her stepchildren: Airman Bruce Thompson of OK and April Thompson of PA; her granddaughter Olivia; her siblings: William Yeager Jr. (Nancy) of FL, Lynn Jacobson (Steven) of NY, Susan Yeager of NJ, Joseph Yeager of NJ, David Yeager of PA, Anthony Yeager of NJ, Stephen Yeager of PA, Patrice Martin of PA, and Michaele Nissley (William) of PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 am in St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19116.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Healing Consciousness Foundation, 45 Second Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966, an organization that was special to Geri.
