Marie Carestia passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her home in Holland, PA. She was 93.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the beloved wife to the late John Carestia, daughter to the late Joseph and Mary Loporchio Grieco.

Marie is survived by her loving children; Linda Petralia and her husband Ronald, and John Carestia and his wife Linda. She also leaves behind her 6 grandchildren; Craig Petralia, Kerri Greco (Anthony), Bryan Carestia (Christina), Brett Carestia, Lauren Carestia and Brandon Carestia; 7 great-grandchildren; Jack, Jessica, Morgan, Joseph, Taylor, Addison and Peyton; her siblings, Grace Bruschi and Alfred Grieco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by her eight siblings, Thomas Grieco, Julia Accommando, Francis Grieco, Mildred Padula, Margaret Lombardi, Albino Grieco, Joseph Grieco, and John Grieco.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday November 14, 2018 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM, and again from 6:30PM until 8:30PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 8:30AM until her Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
