John A. Jackson, Jr., longtime resident of Bucks County, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Pickering Manor. He was 98 years old.
He was the doting husband of Elva Bailey Jackson. The couple shared 72 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, John was the son of the late John A. Jackson, Sr. and Myrtle Marie Snyder Jackson. He was a very proud Temple University graduate, having earned his degree in Business in 1942. He has been an 80 year member of Sigma Pi Fraternity, having been initiated in 1938; and he also ran for the track team. He created his own business and for his career, owned and operated John A. Jackson, Inc. Always the athletic enthusiast, he was an avid golfer and a 65 year member of the Trenton Country Club. He also sang in the choir at the Church of the Resurrection in which Elva was the choir director.
Above all, John enjoyed his family and always looked forward to spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Frank Serafin and Pamela and Gary Lynch; his granddaughters and their husbands, Bailey and Brian Tagliareni and Morgan and Stephen Cosgrove. More recently, he was blessed with two great grandchildren, Samantha and Nixon. John is also survived by many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with John’s family on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 5:00-8:00pm and again on Saturday from 9:00-10:00am, at the Joseph A.
