Elizabeth (Bettie) R. Reynolds of Chalfont passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Doylestown Hospital surrounded by her adoring daughters. She was 70 years young.
Bettie was the daughter of the late Randolph and Mary Doherty Proulx.
Bettie was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Little Flower High school. As a teenager she was a regular on American Bandstand. She moved to Chalfont with her daughters in 1994. Bettie lovingly raised her three daughters as a single mother and worked hard to provide them with a wonderful and loving childhood. She was the Mom anyone would be Blessed to have. Bettie retired from Prudential Insurance company in 1991. She loved music, dancing, her family and friends and she was always smiling. Bettie became a Grammie in 2001 and that was her favorite role ever. She babysat all four of her grandchildren and treasured every moment with them. Bettie was a published poet, and a wonderful, talented artist. In her leisure time, she crocheted baby blankets and hats and scarves and volunteered her time at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church in North Wales. Her joy for the Christmas season started early every year in July and she made sure that all received beautiful handmade gifts. Bettie was young at heart and spirit and most recently went sky diving to celebrate her 70th birthday in April. Bettie will be dearly missed by her family and by all who came to know and cherish her.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Shellie Reynolds of Chalfont, Suzanne Delquardo and her husband Robert of Lansdale and their sons Eric and Ryan, Valerie Haynos, her husband Dennis, and their sons, Ethan and Aidan, of Chalfont. She also leaves behind her granddog Gabriella; her sisters Ella Ryan of Philadelphia and Florence Klopfenstein of Ohio and many nieces, a nephew, great nieces, great nephews, two great-great nieces whom she loved with all her heart and too many wonderful friends to mention.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass which begins at 11:00am on Thursday. August 23rd at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA 19454. Her interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery in Doylestown.
