Mary S. McDonald Fitzpatrick passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2018.  She was 86.

Mary was the loving wife of the late Edward J. Fitpzatrick.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Glancy McDonald.

Mary graduated from Little Flower High School and went on to attend the former St. Joseph’s nursing school and later the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science and LaSalle University.  She eventually completed her studies by becoming a Nurse Practitioner.

Mary spent her career as a school nurse, first for the Philadelphia School District and later retiring from North Catholic High School.

She enjoyed countless summer vacations with her family to Long Beach Island and was also talented at painting and crocheting.  Many of her paintings and crocheted creations remain treasured by her family to this day.  Mary will be greatly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Surviving are Mary’s children, Michael Fitzpatrick (Helen) of Holland, Thomas Fitzpatrick (Eileen) of Philadelphia, Edward Fitzpatrick (Netty) of Warrington and Robert Fitzpatrick (Linda), of Marlton, NJ. She also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marilyn McCue.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marion McDonald.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 10:30 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966.  Her interment will take place privately.
