Joseph A. Mickevege of Moonachie, New Jersey died June 2, 2018 at his residence. He was 66.
Born in Kingston, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of Agnes Stonionis Mickevege and the late Joseph W. Mickevege.
Joe was a graduate of Hanover Area High School in Hanover Township and attended Kings College. He lived in Mount Vernon, New York and Hackensack, New Jersey before settling down in Moonachie, New Jersey.
Joe was a talented automobile mechanic for 45 years. His interest in cars and motorcycles was lifelong. He built a loyal following of customers wherever he was employed because he prided himself on standing behind his work, often helping others in need on his own time to be a good neighbor and friend.
On the rare occasions in the past when he took time off, Joe most enjoyed fishing with his Dad in the lakes and streams around Northeastern Pennsylvania.
In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by his sister, Sandy McMahon and her partner Patrick, cousins, supportive friends, Gary, Joey and Ron, and most importantly, a very special person in his life, Kathy Sutter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Joe to be scheduled in the near future at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. or to a Charity of the Donors Choice.
