Gary Richard Cattie of Southampton died peacefully surrounded by his loving and devoted family on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. He was 66.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Gary was the beloved husband of Lucy Bello Cattie and the son of the late Jules and Helen Hannold Cattie.

Gary founded and operated Cattie Adhesives Solutions. He took pleasure in traveling for the business to facilitate its growth, serve new clients, and maintain strong relationships with long term clients. Gary had a zest for life. He particularly enjoyed time spent in Ocean City, NJ, relaxing on the beach, going dancing, taking his grandchildren to the boardwalk, jet skiing, and hosting family cookouts. When his children were younger, he attained great joy from watching and cheering them on from the sideline of soccer games and other sporting activities.

Gary had an affection for nature. He made it a priority to spend time at the beaches, mountains, jungles and forests of the various states & countries he visited. When at home he tended to his lawn and continued to fine tune his landscaping. Gary will be tremendously missed, but eternally loved by the family he grew up with, the family he created, and his numerous lifelong friends.

In addition to his wife Lucy, Gary is survived by his loving children: Gary M. Cattie and his wife Annamarie, Brian Cattie and his wife Abbi Zietz, Maria Bosshard and her husband Nathan, and Brendan Cattie. He is also survived by his six dear grandchildren: Nicholas, Isabelle, Lucia, Cosmo, Hudson and Oscar, his brothers: Jules (Cass), Bruce (Judy), and Steve Cattie (Celeste), his sister Diane Miller (the late Richard), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services and interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery are private.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to either: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Boulevard Philadelphia, PA 19104 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
