Howard L. Griffith Jr. of Newtown passed away peacefully on Monday December 18, 2017 with his family by his side at Chandler Hall Hospice.  He was 85.

Howard was the loving husband of Madge F. Lahneman Griffith. 

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Howard L. Sr. and Isabella Zaleski Griffith. 

Howard graduated from Roxborough High School and then proudly served with the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He later led a long career with the United States Postal Service for over 40 years, retiring in 1998. 

Howard was a talented woodworker, and gardener.  His biggest hobby by far was fishing and he enjoyed countless hours on his boat with his three sons, fishing on Lake Arrowhead. 

In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by his children, David and his wife, Shannon, James and his wife, Dawn, and Daniel, and his wife, Stefanie.  He also leaves behind by his grandchildren, Lori, David, Brandon, & Emily Griffith and his brother, Ronald Griffith.

He will be dearly missed as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. 

Relatives and friends may greet the family Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 10:00 AM until his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954.  His interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley.
