Larry Michael Tomzack

December 20th, 2017

Larry Michael Tomzack, of Chalfont, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family. He was 67 years old.

 He was the beloved husband of Mary Beth Dobash Tomzack.

 Born in Hazleton, PA, he resided in Bucks County for the last 30 years. He was the son of the late Edward and Mary Kovach Tomzack. Larry was a graduate of Hazleton High School, a 1972 graduate of St. Joseph’s University with a BS in Marketing, and a 1982 graduate of Wilkes University with a MBA in Finance. He had a 30 year career with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals where he was responsible for cardiovascular sales in Northeast PA.

 He was a longtime member of Philadelphia Sports Club at Highpoint, where he socialized often and exercised occasionally. He was a longstanding member of PineCrest Senior Golf League and a parishioner at St. Jude Church where he was previously a member of the Knights of Columbus. Larry had a passion for golf and had recently found a new love of fishing in his retirement years.

 By far, his greatest achievement is the strength of his family he leaves behind. His goal was to have his children “stand on their own two feet”.

 In addition to his wife, Mary Beth, he is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Nick Clark of Panama City, FL and Alexandra Tomzack and Carly Tomzack, both of Chalfont. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mia and Miles; his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Michel Goldschneider; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 10:00am until the start of his Funeral Mass, 11:00am at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave. Chalfont, PA 18914. Larry’s interment will take place privately.

Mario Camarillo

December 20th, 2017

Mario Camarillo, of Bensalem, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 87 years old.

He was the beloved husband of almost 60 years to Carmen Luisa DeValle.

Born in Mexico City, he was the son of Francisco and Ana Maria Sandoval Camarillo.

Mario was a very loving husband and father who always had time for his family.

In addition to his wife, he will be missed dearly by his children, Mario Camarillo and Maria Neilio; his loving grandchildren, Amanda, Mario A., Evan and Mikaela; his cherished great grandchildren, Aurora and Charleigh; and his sisters, Carmen, Elvira and Amelia.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mario’s visitation on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 10:00am until the start of his Funeral Mass, 11:00am at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave. Chalfont, PA 18914. His interment will take place privately.

John P. Corcoran

December 19th, 2017

John P. Corcoran, of Churchville, PA died on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.  He was 47.

He was the loving father of Emma Rose Corcoran of Roxborough.

Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Daniel and Carol Scott Corcoran of Churchville.

John grew up in Churchville and was a 1989 graduate of Council Rock High School before continuing on to Ursinus College where he received a Bachelor of Economics degree in 1993.  He was a long time fan of the Simpsons, South Park and Star Wars and was looking forward to seeing the new movie.  He was a dedicated hometown sports fan sticking with them through thick and thin. However, more than anything he was a devoted father that always wanted the best for his daughter.

He is survived by, his brother Chuck Corcoran and his wife Tawni of Westminster, Colorado and his sister Ann Connolly (Oliver Mallon) of Newtown. He is also survived by his niece Katie, and nephews; Connor, Zalyn (Rebecca).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 9:00 a.m until his Funeral Mass 11:00a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954.  His interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.

Sharon L. Cameron

December 19th, 2017

Sharon L. Cameron of Ewing, NJ died peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 with her devoted family by her side at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 64.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Sharon was the beloved daughter of the late Edward N. and Dolores J. Stinson Cameron and sister in law of the late William Aust.

Sharon was a life long resident of Ewing New Jersey. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Lawrence Township, New Jersey.  Sharon worked most of her professional career as an Administrative Assistant in the Pharmaceutical Industry. For the past 10 years Sharon worked in Retail Sales in the clothing industry.

Sharon was a woman of Faith and Devotion, she could always be found in anyone of the Catholic parishes in the Bucks and Ewing areas. Her faith was strong and true, perpetual adoration was near and dear to her heart.

Sharon was a loving and giving woman who made friends easily, she enjoyed writing short stories and working around her home. She will be sadly missed by her family and those who reaped the benefit of her prayers.     Sharon is survived by her dear brother Robert Cameron and his wife Jackie, her sister Deborah Aust. She is also survived by 2 nieces and 3 nephews and 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews.

Sharon’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday December 27, 2017 from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ewing, Township New Jersey.

Howard L. Griffith, Jr.

December 18th, 2017

Howard L. Griffith Jr. of Newtown passed away peacefully on Monday December 18, 2017 with his family by his side at Chandler Hall Hospice.  He was 85.

Howard was the loving husband of Madge F. Lahneman Griffith. 

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Howard L. Sr. and Isabella Zaleski Griffith. 

Howard graduated from Roxborough High School and then proudly served with the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He later led a long career with the United States Postal Service for over 40 years, retiring in 1998. 

Howard was a talented woodworker, and gardener.  His biggest hobby by far was fishing and he enjoyed countless hours on his boat with his three sons, fishing on Lake Arrowhead. 

In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by his children, David and his wife, Shannon, James and his wife, Dawn, and Daniel, and his wife, Stefanie.  He also leaves behind by his grandchildren, Lori, David, Brandon, & Emily Griffith and his brother, Ronald Griffith.

He will be dearly missed as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. 

Relatives and friends may greet the family Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 10:00 AM until his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. Susan Cecelia Carroll (Pitt)

Susan Cecelia Pitt Carroll formerly of Feasterville passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Richboro Rehab and Nursing Home. She was 93.  

Susan was the beloved wife of the late Patrick P. Carroll Sr.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late William and Susan Pitt, mother of the late Patrick P. Carroll Jr. and Kathryn Lombardo, mother-in-law of the late William Hannah and sister of the late Kathryn, William and Edith.

Susan was a longtime resident of Feasterville, Pa. Susan worked hard her entire life in different positions. She was extremely proud that she earned her GED later in life. Susan was an avid crocheter, known fondly by her family members for the wonderful blankets she crocheted for many special occasions. She enjoyed ceramics, tea drinking and the beach. Susan will be deeply missed by her family and by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Susan is survived by her children: William Carroll and his wife, Eileen of Pennsauken, NJ, Susan Schickling and her husband, Joseph of Richboro, Michael Carroll and his wife, Deb of Quakertown, Edith Hannah of Holland, and Dawnmarie McCullough and her husband, Kevin of Feasterville.  She is also survived by her son-in-law Salvatore Lombardo of Bensalem, her 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Susan’s family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM in Assumption B.V.M. Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053.  Her interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.

Lois E. Pollock (Turner)

December 17th, 2017

Lois E. Pollock, of Warrington died peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the Solana Doylestown. She was 91.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Watson and the late Elmer Pollock.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Amanda Heath Turner.

Lois grew up in Roxborough and was a 1944 graduate of Roxborough High School.  She worked various jobs for several years and then in 1951 she married her high school sweetheart.  In 1956 they moved to Levittown and she took some time off from work to raise her children, however remained active in her community.  She joined the Federated Women's Club of Levittown where she was an active member for over 37 years serving as president of the local chapter as well as the Bucks County Chapter. The club primarily performed charitable work in the community and annually ran a spring and Christmas show where the members showcased their singing and dancing talents.

In 1967 Lois returned to work and for 9 years was the office manager for a State Farm Insurance office located in Northeast Philadelphia. After the death of her first husband Edward she went to work as a property manager in the Somerton Section of Philadelphia for the Giglotti Corporation.  Lois' great wit and wonderful sense of humor will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Lois is survived by her children Mark Watson and his wife Eileen of Charlottesville, VA, Rick Watson and his wife Ellen Lachewitz of Berkeley Springs, WV, Judith Pewterbaugh and her husband Todd of Warrington, Ceil Hosfeld and her husband Don of Greenville, OH, and Matt Watson and his wife Lisa of Royersford, PA, her sisters, Norma Clayton, Patsy Kelly, Janice Challingsworth, and Joyce Bussell and her brother J. Heath Turner.  She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, Dec. 28th from 10:00 a.m. until a time of Sharing and Remembrance at 12:00 p.m. at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901.  Interment will be held privately.

Richard C. Thornton

December 17th, 2017

Richard C. Thornton, of Buckingham went home to the Lord on Sunday December 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was 93.

He was the loving husband of the late Elizabeth for over 73 years. Born in 1924 in Franklin, PA he was one of eight children to the late Roy and Ruth Veeard Thornton.

He is survived by his children, Richard (Dorothy) Thornton, Sandra (Harry) Ciaccio, his grandchildren: Jeffrey (Cheryl) Thornton, Troy (Lisa) Thornton, Kimberley Graffeo, Kelly (Robert) Brown, Michael (Amanda) Ciaccio, and Nicole Ciaccio.  He is also survived by his 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Dick spent his early years in Northwest Pennsylvania before moving to Philadelphia as a teenager.  He was a true car enthusiast and from an early age he would be found near them, under them or simply tinkering with them.  Throughout and following High School, Dick worked in an Auto Body Shop where he gained great experience and skill as a technician.  Then in 1948 he set out on his own and opened Dick’s Body Shop, his first location, in the Germantown section of Philadelphia before moving it to Willow Grove where he remained until 2010 when he retired after 62 years in the business.

If Dick wasn’t working on a car you would most likely have found him throwing darts or shooting a game of pool.  And if he was doing that he was more than likely taking his opponents for a few dollars. 

Dick’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 9:00am until his Funeral Service 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901.  His interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

Agnes M. Walker of Philadelphia died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook.

She was the beloved wife of the late Paul A. Walker, DDS.

Agnes is survived by her children  Mary A. Patti and her husband Michael, Paul A. Walker Jr, DO and his wife Regina, Susan C. Williams and her husband Richard, Anne M. Walker MD  and her husband Kurt Blickle , Martin P. Walker and Megan A. Walker. Agnes is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Thea M. Brown (Slattery)

Thea M. Brown of North Wales died peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at home.  She was 87.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the wife of the late Thomas O’Donnell and Frederick Brown, daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Diamond Slattery. She was also predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Thea was a graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls. Her professional career spanned many years working as a bookkeeper. Thea was a former communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish when she lived in Southampton. When she moved to North Wales she became a communicant of Mary Mother of  the Redeemer Parish.

Family came first and foremost, she was the consummate homemaker, she loved doing ceramics and dancing. She will be sadly missed by her devoted family and her memory will be cherished forever.

Thea is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Thomas J. O’Donnell and his wife Sharon, Stephen M. O’Donnell and his wife Lynn, Brian D. O’Donnell and his wife Kathy, and Linda A. Joerger and her husband Leo.  She is also survived by her 10  grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
