Solveig R. Butterer died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Christ Home Retirement Community in Warminster. She was 77.

Solvi was the beloved wife to the late Robert W. Butterer who died October 1, 2012.

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, she was the daughter of the late Kaj P. and Singrid Augusta Nielson Rasmussen.

Solvi was a former resident of Holland, PA before moving to Langhorne in 2002. She had a distinguished career as a Customer Equipment Trainer with Xerox Corporation for over 25 years. She and her late husband of fifty-six years, Robert, enjoyed traveling, skiing, entertaining, and going to their shore house in Beach Haven NJ.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Edward E. and his wife Regina H. of Hamilton Square NJ. One nephew, Timothy Robert Butterer of San Francisco CA, two nieces, Lynn R. Butterer of Hamilton Square NJ, and Anne E. and her husband Edan S. Rosenberg of Princeton Junction NJ and a great nephew, Charles W. Rosenberg. Also surviving are close friends Rich and Theresa Altopied and their daughters Michelle Holster and family, and Christine McSorley and family; Al and Barbara Gummo; and Elissa J. Kirkegard.

Funeral services and interment will be privately held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of a donor’s choice.
