John “Johnny” Joseph Inglese, 93, a Philadelphia native and longtime resident passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28, at The Willows of Pine Run in Doylestown, surrounded by loving family & friends. He most recently resided at New Seasons in Chalfont, PA.
John was the beloved husband of the late Edith Florence Inglese (nee Conte), and the son of the late Francesco and Rosaria (nee Coppolecchia) Inglese and brother of the late Michael Inglese. He is survived by his loving daughter Joan Riehl and her husband Mark of Doylestown and their loving pet “Holly”. He is also survived by his siblings; Rita Morelli, Rose (John) White, Gilda (Joseph) Petrongolo and Frank (Barbara) Inglese, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
John was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He will always be remembered for his friendly personality, his many jokes, and a wonderful sense of humor. Even while he was dealing with his own medical issues he still managed to entertain others and make them laugh.
He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during World War II.
After his discharge he worked for approximately 40 years at American Baking Company in South Philadelphia, until his retirement in 1983.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday November 4, from 10:30 am until his Funeral Mass at 11:30 am at the Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 West Street Road, Warminster, PA 18974. Interment with military honors for John will be held in the Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
