Florence V. Olson of Doylestown died Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was 87.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Gerda (Gustavsson) Olson. She is survived by her three brothers, Alfred, Frank and John (Rita) and was predeceased by her three sisters, Mae Olson, Greta Spicer and her twin sister, Ruth Olson. She was a loving and integral part of the lives of her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Florence was a secretary for 42 years with Augsburg Fortress Press in Philadelphia.  After living several years in Holland, she moved to Wesley Enhanced Living in Doylestown where she was most proud of her work on the spiritual life committee. She cherished her Swedish heritage as a longtime member of the VASA Order of America. Florence will be truly missed by her family and friends, the community at Wesley and all who came to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 10:00am until her Funeral Service at 11:00am on Thursday, September 22^nd at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Florence’s interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery in Newtown.
