Margaret B. Lewis Martin of New Britain died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She was 82.

She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Martin.       

Born in Abington, PA Margaret was the daughter of the late Alec and Norma “Leola” Pass Lewis and the sister of the late Shirley Taber.

Margaret was an avid volunteer. Serving as an Elder, Greeter, Usher and a Sunday School teacher for the Doylestown Presbyterian Church. She was the past President of the Junior Woman’s Club and Chairman of the Welfare Fund Committee until June of this year for the Village Improvement Association. In addition, Margaret volunteered for FISH. In her leisure, she enjoyed many occasions at the beach with her dear family and close friends. Margaret will be greatly missed by everyone; especially those who had the pleasure to know her and to share her loving kindness.

In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her loving children: Richard A. Martin Jr., Kenneth Martin and his wife Donna, Craig Martin, Tammy Thompson and her husband Ronald, and Scott Martin and his companion Mary Shaw. She is also survived by her brother Donald Lewis, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret’s family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9:30am until her Memorial Service 10:30AM at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 E. Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

Evelyn Marie Clark of New Hope died Monday, September 26, 2016 at her residence in New Hope surrounded by her devoted family. She was 96 years old.

Evelyn was the beloved wife of 71 years to the late Richard T. Clark Sr.

Born in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Sadie Abraham Saleeba and was the sister of the late Matilda Evans, Vivian Curry, Nellie Kovac, Betty Sipes and Samuel Saleeba.

Evelyn was a seamstress and had worked for Cay Artley in Johnstown. In her leisure, she enjoyed dancing, playing the violin and spending time with her family. Evelyn was a former communicant of Visitation BVM Church in Johnstown and was presently a Communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doylestown. She will be truly missed by her family and by all who came to know her. The Clark family would like to thank Evelyn’s caregivers for all of the compassionate care that has been provided to their love one.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Richard T. Clark, Jr. and his wife Angela of Doylestown, her two cherished grand daughters, Kelly and her husband Dave and Lisa and her husband Steve, along with her 3 great grandchildren, Katie, Mary and Nathan.

Sioned Valentine Davies (aged 49), of Newtown, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at her residence with her loving husband and family by her side.

Beloved wife of Dyke Davies, devoted mother of Manon and Matthew, and daughter of Jean and Alun Evans of Powys, Wales, she succumbed to metastatic breast cancer after a prolonged struggle to overcome the disease.

Having spent her early life in Wales, Sioned spoke fluent Welsh and was proud of her Celtic heritage. She graduated from Aberystwyth University with a BA in history and moved to London, to pursue a career in personnel management. There she met her husband, Dyke, and they married in the summer of 1991. Over the years they moved and lived all around the world including London, Moscow, New York, Melbourne, and most recently, Newtown, PA, developing countless friendships along the way.

Sioned took great pride in being a loving wife, mother, and friend, and was devoted to her children. Caring for her family brought her immense fulfillment and she never allowed her illness to slow her down or keep her from being her beautiful self. She was a creative spirit, making pottery and playing tennis, but mostly enjoying the friendship and fun that these activities brought to everyone involved. She adored dogs especially her beloved K-9 companions, Dodger and Noodles, and their friend, Liffey. She will be dearly missed but certainly never forgotten.

In addition to her husband, children, and parents, Sioned is survived by her brother, David.

Her services and interment will be held privately.

Rita Czekaj of Holland, PA passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 with her loving husband and family by her side at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 82.

She was the beloved wife of Bernard Czekaj.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Jankowski Shimony.

Rita was a long time resident of the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia where she attended St. Anne’s elementary and the former St. Anne’s Commercial School. She led a long career as a bookkeeper and later relocated to Fox Chase before settling in Bucks County.

Nineteen years ago, Rita was fortunate to be a recipient of a successful heart transplant and in the years that followed she travelled all over the world, including 17 countries. She also treasured time with her husband and family at their home in Enterprise, FL and Brigantine, NJ. She was a “Gone with the Wind” enthusiast, an avid reader and also a very talented piano player.

Above all else, Rita was a devoted wife, mother, and adoring grandmother and no matter how big or small the gathering, time with her family was always most important. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, Rita is survived by her children, Cindy C. Reihmann and her husband, Max, and Mark Czekaj and his wife, Andrea Campbell-Czekaj; her grandchildren, Devon, Tyler, and April-Michelle Czekaj; her brother, Michael Shimony and his wife, Maureen; and countless extended relatives and friends.

John Maurer, of Warminster, died peacefully at home Friday, September 23, 2016 with his family by his side. He was 87.

He was the beloved husband of 68 years to Betty Jane Bell Maurer.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Kramer Maurer and brother of the late Michael, Frank and Adam.

John resided in Philadelphia for 44 years prior to living in Warminster for 43 years. John enjoyed baseball, basketball, tennis and most other sports. He was both a basketball official and baseball umpire. Attending sporting events for his children, grandchildren and his neighbors children gave him great pleasure.

In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his daughter Patricia Hunter and her husband Steve of Warrington and his son Michael Maurer of Warminster.  He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren; Joseph J. Maurer and his wife Barbara and their daughter Anne Sophia, Kristen Tricia McCarthy and her husband Joseph and their daughters Alexandra Joella and Aubry Lynn and Heather Nicole Hunter. 

His Funeral Service will be held at a later date.

Albert C. DiAngelo, of Chalfont, died on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 60.

He was the beloved husband of 39 years to Donnalynn Lewis DiAngelo.

Born in Bristol, PA, he was the son of Albert DiAngelo and the late Clara DiAngelo.

Albert was a 1974 graduate of Bristol High School and Bucks County Technical School, where he crafted his skills in automotive repair.  After graduating he began his career with Ron Ruth Auto Body and remained with them for many years, including their relocation to Willow Grove.  In 1995 Albert and his family moved to Chalfont and he worked with County Line Fence, Richboro Collision and most recently Warrington Collision.

Al’s knowledge and skilled hands went beyond automobiles which made him the go to handyman for family and friends.  He could fix just about anything and was always willing to help.  Although many considered him a workaholic; he did make time to spend time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife and father he is survived by his three daughters Christine DiAngelo and companion Mike Conrad of Lansdale, Erika DiAngelo of Chalfont, and Brittany Green and her husband Brendan of Warminster, and his sister Mary Chambers and her husband Walter of Levittown.  He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Kylie Conway, Alexa D'orazio and Austin Green, and other loving family members and friends.

William “Bill” K. Bahmiller entered into eternal rest in the arms of his beloved wife, Joanne on Friday, September 23, 2016. He was 76.

He was the beloved husband and best friend of Joanne Domiano Bahmiller.

Born in Philadelphia on May 2, 1940, he was the son of the late Karl and Bertha Kern Bahmiller and loving father of the late Kim Ann Pepper.

Bill attended school in Philadelphia and graduated from Mastbaum Vocational Technical High School in January 1958. He was employed at Sears Roebuck in Philadelphia for 44 years.

In addition to his loving wife Bill is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Helen Bahmiller and his brother-in-law, Nicholas Domiano and his wife, Joan.  He is also survived by his precious granddaughter, Melissa Ann Pepper and nieces and nephews.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 9:30am until the start of his funeral service at 11:00am at the Lutheran Church of God’s Love, 791 Newtown-Yardley Rd, Newtown, PA 18940.

James L. Townsend of Newtown and formerly of Langhorne for 34 years died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 84.

He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Tritschler Townsend.

Born in Philadelphia, James was the son of the late James H. Townsend and Ruth Petit.

James had a long successful career working for the Reading Rail Road, Conrail, and eventually Amtrak before retiring. James was a long time parishioner of the Church of St. Andrew and he loved being a resident at Pickering Manor. He enjoyed baseball, football, golf, traveling to every state and taking a cruise on the Queen Elizabeth II through Europe, but he cherished the quality times he spent with his family and closest friends. James will be greatly missed but always loved by everyone who had the pleasure to know him.

James is survived by his loving and devoted children: Susan E. Dugan and her husband Tim, James J. Townsend and his wife Theresa, Lisa Dutter and her husband Mike, Dianne Townsend, and Matthew Townsend and his wife Jennifer. He is also survived by his brother David Townsend, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Joanne (Nakonechy) Pravata of Pipersville and formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 with her loving husband by her side at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She was 61.

Joanne was the loving and devoted wife of Ronald J. Pravata.

Born on Staten Island, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Castaldi) Nakonechy.

A graduate of Curtis High School, Joanne was a customer service representative for Staten Island Savings Bank before relocating to Pennsylvania in 1998 where she continued her career with Citizens Bank.

She was an avid skier and her favorite place to hit the slopes was Pico Mountain, VT, a place that was very close to her heart. Along with her husband she also treasured vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was a talented cook and was the happiest creating delicious meals for her friends and family. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Karl Nakonechy (Linda), her sister, Katherine Moore (the late Robert); her cousins, Annette Heintz (Bill) and Bud Coleman; her goddaughter, Barbara Heintz; her godson, Christopher Antkies; her nieces, Candace Antkies, Robyn Moore, Kerry Taylor, and Katelyn Antkies; her nephew, Richard Pravata; and her brother-in-law, Frank Pravata.

Stephen J. Sciuto of Bensalem died suddenly on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Aria Jefferson Health-Torresdale Campus in Philadelphia. He was 59.

Stephen was the beloved husband of the late Eileen Duffy Sciuto.

He was the beloved son of Beatrice Bertotti Sciuto and the late Joseph Sciuto Jr.

Stephen was a former resident of Philadelphia before moving to Bensalem. He was a delivery man for Vermont Bread for seven years and in his leisure, he enjoyed cooking and watching Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Flyers and Eagles. Stephen will be truly missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved mother Beatrice, Stephen is survived by his sister Lorraine Sciuto-Ballasy and her husband Joseph of Warrington and his nephews and niece, Nicholas and his wife Paola, Lucas, Justin and Emma.
