Nancy W. Edden of Newtown, died peacefully Wednesday, August 25, 2016 at Manor Care of Yardley. She was 86.

She was the sister of the late Betty Ether.

Born in Abington, and raised in Wyncote, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Gretta (Lang) Worthington. Coming from a family of educators, she was an art teacher in the Neshaminy School District for over 15 years, retiring in the mid-1980s. She was proud to have illustrated anatomy and physiology books. She was a member of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and was interested in the history of Bucks County. She was an avid reader who loved to keep up with current events; and will be missed for her outspoken nature and quick sense of humor.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Donna Edden of Winston Salem, NC, John and Kathy Edden of St. Augustine, FL and David and Audrey Edden of Fairless Hills, PA and her sister Dorothy “Tim” Vrooman of Exeter, NH.

In addition, she is survived by her 5 grandchildren (Amanda, Alex, Elizabeth, Joseph, Cotter) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Joseph A. Fluehr Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954, from 10:00am until the service and Time of Remembrance at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
