Charles W. Lehman, Sr., of Southampton and formerly of Holland passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Hospice. He was 94.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary K. Irvin Lehman.

Born in Philadelphia Charles was the son of John I. and Naomi Corcoran Lehman.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served during both World War II and the Korean War.

Charles led a long career as a Tool and Die Maker and machinist for over 60 years. He was the founder and owner of VanGuard Tool & Die Company from its inception in 1965 until 1986 and was later employed with Thomson Lamination Company until his retirement. He also served as president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Association.

Charles was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton and had previously served as president for the Pennypack Homeowners Association.

Surviving are his son Charles W. Lehman Jr.; his grandchildren Lorrieanne Lehman-Griffit, Jamie Lou Miller, and Brian C. Lehman; his eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and another great-great grandchild expected soon.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA 18966. His interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Francis Inn, 2441 Kensington Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19125.
