Nicholas J. Hampshire of Richboro passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at his residence. He was 30.

Born in Abington, Nick was a resident of Richboro for 30 years. He was a graduate of Council Rock High School North, Class of 2003 and was currently working towards becoming a Journeyman in the electrical contracting profession. Nick will be remembered as a gentle giant and will be truly missed by everyone that came to know him.

Nick was the beloved son of Maureen Hampshire and John Schofield and the cherished grandson to Alexander and Agnes Hampshire. He is also survived by his uncle, John Michael Hampshire and his wife Tiffany and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

William Keith Kimball passed away at Fairfax INOVA Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

Born at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, William was the son of the late William M. and Gloria Salerno Kimball.

William and his wife have been residents of Herndon, Virginia since 1985. He was a Marine Corps Veteran, having enlisted and served tours of duty as a Tank Commander in Vietnam. After returning to the United States, William graduated from Clarion College in Clarion, Pennsylvania with a double Master’s degree. He went on to work in the aviation industry as a medivac pilot, corporate jet pilot, and flight instructor. William retired from the aviation industry to become the proprietor of Piper Hobby in Chantilly, Virginia.

William Kimball is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Donna Seith Kimball; his son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Jeanine Kimball; and their daughter, Pixel.

Kenneth F. Shane of Doylestown, PA died peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Pine Run Health Center, Doylestown, PA, surrounded by his loving family. He was 84.

Born in Chester, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Charles and Josephine VanSwearingen Shane and brother of the late Duane Shane, Dorothy Arnold and Mary Lou Haney.

Mr. Shane was a resident of Doylestown for the past 13 years and formerly lived in Columbus, OH for 43 years. He retired as Assistant Vice President of Manufacturing for Worthington Steel Company in Columbus, OH and formerly owned and operated the Shane farm, Hookstown, PA. For many years he was a member of the Lions Club, past president of Central Ohio Management Association, in Columbus, OH, a member of Hookstown Grange #1980 and active with the March of Dimes. In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking and making stained glass art work.

He was the beloved husband of Alice L. Compston Shane for 65 years. He will be sadly missed as a devoted husband, and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his five children; Todd Shane and his wife, Sally, of Columbus, OH, Joseph Shane and his wife, Tamara, of Hartville, MO, Amy Crandall and her husband, Timothy, of Doylestown, PA, Mark Shane and his wife, Sandi, of Cleveland, OH, Keith Shane and his wife, Janis, of Colorado Springs, CO, his brother-in-law, James Arnold and 2 sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Shane and Judi Compston. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

John George Timer of Griffin, GA and formerly of Richboro, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was 74.

He was the beloved husband of the late Anne Lyons Timer.

Born in Newark, New Jersey on April 12, 1942, John was the son of the late George and Katherine Lennert Timer and brother of the late Linda Simko.

John was a veteran of the United States Navy, who served his country during the Vietnam Conflict and went on to lead a long career with RCA Electronic Components until his retirement.

He is survived by his children, John Timer II and Tricia Dupell, Pat Wolfe and Jim, Katherine Timer, Jim Timer and Kate. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah Wolfe, Billy Wolfe, Lucy Timer, Kira Timer, Miles Timer, Nick Lopez, his brother, George Timer and JoAnn, his sister-in-law, Pam Lyons, and his brother-in-law, Frank Simko.

Mr. Timer’s family will receive friends on Monday, May 2^nd from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00AM in St. Vincent De Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be private at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.

Charles W. Lehman, Sr., of Southampton and formerly of Holland passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Hospice. He was 94.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary K. Irvin Lehman.

Born in Philadelphia Charles was the son of John I. and Naomi Corcoran Lehman.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served during both World War II and the Korean War.

Charles led a long career as a Tool and Die Maker and machinist for over 60 years. He was the founder and owner of VanGuard Tool & Die Company from its inception in 1965 until 1986 and was later employed with Thomson Lamination Company until his retirement. He also served as president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Association.

Charles was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton and had previously served as president for the Pennypack Homeowners Association.

Surviving are his son Charles W. Lehman Jr.; his grandchildren Lorrieanne Lehman-Griffit, Jamie Lou Miller, and Brian C. Lehman; his eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and another great-great grandchild expected soon.

Colonel Thomas P. Garry, US Army Reserve (Ret.) of Pine Knoll Shores, NC died peacefully in his home on Monday, April 25, 2016.

He was the beloved husband of Judith Garry (McDonald) for 54 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John and Marie (Kelly) Garry and brother of the late Edward Garry.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his son, Thomas P. Garry, Jr., of Moorpark, CA and his daughters: Julia Benecke of Sellersville, PA; Noreen Hildebrand of Purcellville, VA and Nancy Tepsic of Castle Pines, CO as well as his brother, Stephen Garry of Willow Grove, PA and his sister, Marie Garry of Florida. His nine loving grandchildren Michael, Patrick, Sean, Ian, Anna, Timothy, Meghan, Sarah and Sophia and great granddaughter Kendall also survive him.

He was a resident of Warminster and Buckingham, PA before moving to Pine Knoll Shores, NC in 2001. He received a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania and was a student in the Doctorate of Science program at George Washington University.

Colonel Garry entered active duty as a second lieutenant in 1961 at Fort Knox, KY and trained as an armor officer. As an outstanding armor officer he trained armor officers and soldiers at Fort Knox until 1964. He was then assigned to the 157^th Separate Infantry Brigade in Willow Grove, PA and became the Battalion Adjutant of the 4/77 Tank Battalion. He had increasingly responsible positions in the Army Reserve including commanding the 358th Civil Affairs Brigade. Under his leadership a Capstone direct support relationship was successfully developed between the Army Reserve's 358th Civil Affairs Brigade and the US Navy's Commander in Chief Atlantic Fleet (CINCLANTFLEET). After an accomplished command of the 358th he was assigned to the 79^th ARCOM as Assistant Chief of Staff, Director Operations and Intelligence (ACSDOI) and was subsequently made Assistant Chief of Staff Director of Operations and Training, (ACSDOT). During his service, Colonel Garry was awarded the Legion of Merit decoration for his exemplary service at very high levels of the Army Reserve and also earned two Meritorious Service Medals. He retired from the 79^th ARCOM in Fort Meade, MD in 1991.

As a result of his service he became a lifetime member of the Reserve Officers Association, Civil Affairs Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Department of Defense Regimental Civil Affairs Association.

In civilian life, he retired from Rohm & Haas in 1996 after 33 years of management positions and also served as Chairman of the Rohm & Haas DelVal Credit Union.

He was actively involved in his community and served as a member of the Washington Crossing Association Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors for Mountbatten Surety Company, which was listed on the NASDAQ exchange before being sold. For many years he was a re-enactor for the Christmas Day re-enactment of George Washington crossing the Delaware River. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing with friends and family. Most of all, he enjoyed hosting his children and grandchildren for their summer vacations at his home in Pine Knoll Shores. He will be sadly missed as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Doris M. Beisheim of Yardley passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Manor Care in Yardley. She was 91.

Doris was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Nicholas Beisheim.

Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Albert and Edna Terhune Riegert.

Doris was a former resident of New Milford, NJ before moving to Yardley. In her leisure she enjoyed the quality times that she spent with her husband and family.

Doris is survived by her daughter Nancy E. Baker and her husband Thomas of Langhorne along with her granddaughter Kyle Marie Baker and her husband Mathew Plale.

Services and interment for Doris will be held privately by the family.

Kenneth T. McCauley of Warminster died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health in Abington. He was 94.

Kenneth was the beloved husband for 66 years of the late Geraldine McGovern McCauley.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Bowers McCauley.

Kenneth was a former resident of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia before moving to Ann’s Choice in Warminster. He was an Engineering Technician with the U.S. Department of Defense for almost 30 years before retiring in 1986. Kenneth was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during World War II, in the European Theater, where he was the recipient of a bronze star medal. Upon his discharge from the active duty, he attended every annual reunion with his comrades in arms from the 243^rd field artillery battalion since 1946. Among his comrades and friends in the 243^rd he was known as the “godfather”. He also remained in the U.S. Army Reserve until 1981, achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. Kenneth was a member of the ROMEO’s group at Ann’s Choice and enjoyed in his leisure listening to big band music from the war years. His true joy was the quality times he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kenneth will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

Kenneth is survived by his two sons, Kenneth T. McCauley Jr and his wife Patricia and Dennis McCauley and his wife Sheilagh, all of Doylestown. He is also survived by his sister, Alberta DeMasi of Philadelphia, his 5 cherished grandchildren Kevin, Ryan, Daniel, Patrick and Maureen and his 6 great grandchildren; Ian, Michael, Cameron, Cole, Fletcher and Charley, and his friend; Lillian.

Gertrude Friedman of Royersford, PA died peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2016, at Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford, PA. She was 98.

She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert B. Friedman.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Rebecca Stein Smoger and sister of the late Sunny Kogan, Cy Smoger and Mickey Ohlbaum.

Mrs. Friedman was a resident of Philadelphia for many years before moving to Parkhouse Providence Point nine years ago. She will be missed and always remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Arleen LoRusso and her husband, Larry, of Lansdale, PA and Janice Friedman and her wife, Lonnie, of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by her grandson, Larry LoRusso Jr. and his wife, Debbie Kay, of Quakertown, PA and her four great grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, John and Matthew LoRusso.

Herbert Boess, age 79, of Holland died Thursday, April 21, 2016 at his residence. He suffered a seven year long debilitating disease of Alzheimer & Parkinson. He took his fate with courage & dignity, never complaining for a moment. As in life, so in death, he was an inspiration to us all.

Herb & Helene, his wife, celebrated a 54 year long marriage, leaving the family with many cherished memories.

Born in Hunsdorf, Slovakia, Herb was preceded in death by his parents, Julius & Elizabeth Reptschek Boess, & his two brothers, Erhardt & Julius Boess. Herb is survived by his wife Helene, his daughter Heidi, his 2 grandsons Austen & Alexander & his two sisters-in-law, Marian Boess Winter, & Heddy Boess & their families.

Along with his parents & brothers, Herbert left his birthplace, Slovakia, during World War II. The family fled to Austria & Germany where he spent his youth. At the age of 17, he reached America along with his parents joining his aunts & brothers who had preceded him for several years.

He worked as a draftsman at Stokes in Phila. & later graduated Spring Garden College, Magna Cum Laude, with a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Herb immediately accepted a position upon graduation with United Engineers in Philadelphia which eventually became Raytheon where he remained until his retirement.

He was a tennis & ski enthusiast & a long time member of Mill Creek Tennis Club. Herb played the organ in Germany in church, was an accomplished pianist & enjoyed opera & classical music. He loved watching the Flyers & above all followed his grandson Austen’s sporting events, especially soccer.

A special thank you for his care goes to Dr. Lisgar & Dr. Mazlin who helped us throughout this difficult time. The nurses at Arcadia & Compassionate Care were invaluable to us.
