Donald E. Highland of Fairless Hills passed away on Saturday December 5, 2015 at Chandler Hall Hospice. He was 78.

Don was the beloved husband of Rose A. Smith Highland.

Born in Clarksburg, WV he was a son of the late Stephen L. and Denna McDonald Highland.

Don was a graduate of Washington Irving High School before going on to complete his undergraduate work at West Virginia University. He later earned his Master’s of Divinity from Kansas City Theological Seminary in Kansas City, KS. Don led a long career as a beloved Pastor for various Baptist Churches throughout Nebraska, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. He was very well respected and liked by the communities he served. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his children, Dennis S. Highland and Donald E. Highland II of Doylestown, PA; and his brother, William D. Highland and his wife, Phyllis of Ithaca, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Virgil L. Highland.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, December 10, 2015, from 12:30 PM until his Funeral Service at 1:30 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
