Carol A. Rycek, of Doylestown, PA died on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at her home with her husband by her side. She was 74.
She was the beloved wife of 33 years to Joseph J. Rycek.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Hayes and Caroline Stevenson Friel.
Carol was a graduate of Penn State University. After her graduation she went to work for Peco, then on to Rudco Check Printers and then spent many years with Genuardi’s in the Florist Department. In 1992 she dedicated her life to Jehovah God as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was associated with the Doylestown, PA Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Carol loved spending time in field ministry and sharing with others the message of Jehovah and his Kingdom. She and her husband, Joe, enjoyed many happy times as they traveled throughout the world.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Dana Pellegrino of Perkasie, Evan and Lana Pellegrino of Coatesville, and Darryl and Lindsey Pellegrino of Fayetteville, NC, her 2 brothers Hugh Friel Jr. and his wife Malvina of Wayne, and Richard Friel and his wife Lois of Downingtown. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren; Jaylyn, Gabriel, Westin and Declan, her niece Christin, and nephews; Ryan, Kevin and Steven.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 9:00 AM until her Funeral Service 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Road) New Britain, PA 18901. Her interment will follow in Beulah Cemetery, New Britain, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to The Cancer Institute of Doylestown Hospital, 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
