Barbara Ann Shaw passed quietly in her sleep on August 4, 2015 at Abington Hospice in Warminster surrounded by her family. She was 75.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Shaw.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Galaghanti McNeill and the mother of the late Glenn James Shaw.

Barbara was an avid collector of antiques as well as a world traveler. With her friends in tow some of her favorite places were Paris in the Spring, on Safari in Africa, Italy with volcanoes and the ruins of villas from another time. In her opinion, the North Wildwood Beaches were the best in the world. When she was at home, she thoroughly enjoyed her flower gardens and cooking.

Barbara is survived by her children, Scott Shaw, Glenn Shaw’s wife Eileen, Doug Shaw, Heather Tomlinson and Bonnie Haeberle. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Alex Shaw, Ian Shaw, Scott Shaw, Amanda Haeberle and Christina, Richard, Nathan, Samantha and Sarah Tomlinson and her great grandchildren Zoey Mayers and Sophia Tomlinson.

Private services will be held by her family.

Please consider a contribution in Barbara’s memory to either the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or the USO, P.O. Box 96860, Washington, DC 20077-7677.
