Thomas P. Kelly, Jr. of Holland, passed away with his loving family by his side on May 25, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 69.
Thomas was the beloved husband of Carolyn L. Snyder Kelly. The two were married 45 years.
Born in Philadelphia he was a son of the late Thomas P. Sr. and Sarah Manning Kelly.
Tom graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School with the class of 1964 before going on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the former LaSalle College. After graduation, Tom proudly served with the United States Army, 1st Cavalry Division, Airmobile, in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star and an Air Medal.
Upon returning home, Tom began his Banking career with First Pennsylvania Bank. It was during his tenure there that he and his wife, Carolyn, resided in St. Thomas, located in the U.S. Virgin Islands for four years before returning to Pennsylvania to raise their family. He later worked for Sovereign Bank, from where he retired in the position of Senior Vice President.
A devout Philadelphia Sports fan, including the “Big 5”, Tom not only enjoyed rooting on his favorite teams, he also developed a treasured collection of sports memorabilia along the way. He was also an avid photographer and could always be found with a camera close at hand.
Above all else, Tom will be remembered for his steadfast love and devotion to his family. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and his memory as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend will always be alive in the hearts of those who loved him so dearly.
In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by his sons, Patrick Kelly and his wife, Rachel, of Skippack, Timothy Kelly and his wife, Karen, of Paoli, and Christopher Kelly and his wife, Melissa, of Larchmont, NY. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Mollie, Logan, Alice, Serena, Emma, Chloe, Jack, and Bennett; and his brother, William Kelly and his wife, Regina, of Collingdale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Kelly.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday Evening, May 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass on Monday, June 1st at 12 Noon at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. His interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
