Joseph J. Chwieroth of Chalfont died March 14, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 88.

Joseph was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late Charlotte Presner Chwieroth.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Czeslaw and Pelagia Zaremba Chwieroth.

Joseph was a long time resident of the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia and he was a machinist with O.P. Schuman & Sons in Warrington until his retirement. Joseph was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS Cleveland CL-55 in the Pacific and enjoyed reunions with his shipmates. He always enjoyed fishing in Bucks County and at the Jersey shore.

Joseph is survived by his children and their spouses; Thomas and Deborah Chwieroth of Philadelphia, Ronald and Sheryl Chwieroth of Chalfont and Susan and Karl Daniels of Cape May, NJ. In addition, he is survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday March 21, 2015 from 8:00-9:45 AM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road) New Britain, PA 18901 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914. His Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
