Marie T. Gibbons of Southampton died peacefully on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook. She was 89.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife of 67 years to Paul D. Gibbons, daughter of the late Matthew and Anna Gannon McVey and Mother of the late Maryann Gibbons and Marie Gibbons.

Marie was a graduate of St. Hubert's High School for Girls, class of 1944. She was a resident of Huntingdon Valley for many years before moving to Southampton 26 years ago. She was a faithful and active communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish.

Marie loved playing cards and belonged to a Bridge Club for many years; she also looked forward to bowling with family and friends.

Marie and her husband where blessed to have 10 children, to which she devoted her life, setting good example and she succeeded and has been rewarded by God with many happy years as a Mother and her children have blessed her with 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Marie will be sadly missed not only by her caring family but many life long friends.

In addition to her beloved husband, Marie is survived by her children and their spouses; Paul D. Gibbons, Jr and his wife Patti, Patti McTear and her husband Tom, Donna M. Donohoe and her husband Bill, Daniel Gibbons, Barbara Cook, Edward Gibbons, Suzanne Leven and her husband Greg, and Nell Bailey and her husband Scott. She is also survived by her sister Ann Marasheski. Also surviving are her loving 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday evening March 2, from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and to her Funeral Mass Tuesday 10:00am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 2nd Street Pike and Knowles Ave. Southampton, with words of remembrance at 9:55 am.

Her interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
