William H. Loftus of Doylestown died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Pine Run Lakeview. He was 90.
He was the beloved husband of the late Estelle F. Topoleski Loftus.
Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Michael and Catherine Murray Loftus and the father-in-law of the late David McCarthy.
William was a former resident of Chalfont and Glenside before moving to Pine Run Lakeview in 2002. He was former salesman with Procter and Gamble for over 32 years until his retirement. William was a proud veteran of the US Navy having served as a Lieutenant Commander during World War II. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a Communicant of St. Jude Church in Chalfont.
William is survived by his dearest children, William H. Loftus, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Doylestown, Nancy E. McCarthy of Skippack, Joan B. McIntyre and her husband James of Horsham and Elizabeth “Buffy” A. Casey and her husband Joseph of Norfolk, MA. Also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:00am at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, Pa 18914. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, 595 West State St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
