Dorothy Parrott (Murphy)

January 10th, 2011

Dorothy Murphy Parrott, of Buckingham, PA died on Monday, January 10, 2011, at Buckingham Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was 85.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Parrott.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Hanley Murphy and mother of the late Denise P. Gilbert.
Dorothy was raised in the Port Richmond Section of Philadelphia, moved to Oxford Circle and eventually to Holland and Newtown in Bucks County where she lived for many years, before moving to Buckingham where she has lived for the past 4 years. Dorothy was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School. A woman of many talents Dorothy loved her family and cherished the memories that have been bestowed on her by her devoted family.
She is by survived by her children Peter A. Parrott and his wife Claudette of Cheltenham, Paul F. Parrott and his partner Gregory Crane of New York, Robert M. Parrott and his partner Gary Betts of St Petersburg FL, her daughter Patrice G. Agger and her husband James of Churchville and her son-in-law Robert Gilbert of Yardley, she is also survived by her 6 dear grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation, Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 8:30AM until her Funeral Mass 9:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church 654 Hatboro Rd. Richboro, PA 18954. Her interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Doris Marie Katz (Southwick)

January 9th, 2011

Doris Marie Southwick Katz of Southampton Estates and formerly of Richboro died peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 86.
She was the beloved wife of the late Walton O. Katz.
Born in Riverside, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Edna Marie Perry Southwick.
Mrs. Katz has been a resident of Southampton Estates for over 20 years. She was an avid reader and a good natured person and nurturing mother and grandmother. She enjoyed volunteering at Southampton Estates delivering mail and spending time with residents in the medical unit playing games, delivering water, and sharing stories. She was also a founding and active member of the Nintendo Wii Bowling League at the Estates. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love her for the person that she was.
Doris is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law W. James and Dotty Katz of Warminster, her grand daughter Ronte Melvin, and many friends at Southampton Estates.

William H. Loftus

January 9th, 2011

William H. Loftus of Doylestown died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Pine Run Lakeview. He was 90.
He was the beloved husband of the late Estelle F. Topoleski Loftus.
Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Michael and Catherine Murray Loftus and the father-in-law of the late David McCarthy.
William was a former resident of Chalfont and Glenside before moving to Pine Run Lakeview in 2002. He was former salesman with Procter and Gamble for over 32 years until his retirement. William was a proud veteran of the US Navy having served as a Lieutenant Commander during World War II. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a Communicant of St. Jude Church in Chalfont.
William is survived by his dearest children, William H. Loftus, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Doylestown, Nancy E. McCarthy of Skippack, Joan B. McIntyre and her husband James of Horsham and Elizabeth “Buffy” A. Casey and her husband Joseph of Norfolk, MA. Also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:00am at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, Pa 18914. Ella M. Edwards (Ziegler)

Ella M. Ziegler Edwards died peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Clare Bridge of Dublin, Dublin, PA. She was 85.
She was the beloved wife of the late W. Atlee Edwards.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Charles and Mary Ella Eldridge Ziegler and mother of the late Mary Ellen Edwards.
Ella was a resident of Center Square Towers, Doylestown for the past 6 years; she formerly lived in Palmerton and Richboro for over 40 years. A talented lady with a needle and thread, she made beautiful sweaters’ and afghans for many of her family. She also liked working in her garden and canning the vegetables that she grew. Always the consummate mother, she was devoted to her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Ella is survived by her 2 sons; Russell A. Edwards and his wife Donna of Plumstead Twp., and Frederick C. Edwards and his wife Karen of Perkasie, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Ella’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday evening January 12, from 7:00 pm until her Memorial Service at 8:00 pm
at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave (Route 202 and Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, Interment will be private.

Vincent Proschinger

January 8th, 2011

Vincent Proschinger of Churchville died Saturday, January 8, 2011, at his residence. He was 75.
Of German heritage, born in Czechoslavkia, he was the son of the late Vincent and Rosa Achzet Proschinger.
Mr. Proschinger was a resident of Churchville for the past 33 years. Before his retirement, he was a mechanic in Philadelphia for many years. He was a proud Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the Tiroler Beneficial Society in Philadelphia. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and wildlife. He also liked friendly card games and camaraderie with his buddies.
He will be sadly missed as a loving father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Walter V. Proschinger of Livingston, MT, his daughter, Christa M. Scheidly of Havertown, PA, and his grandson, Jakob V. Scheidly.

Adele Wilson Henry of Langhorne, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at Manor Care of Yardley. She was 87.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Henry, to whom she was married for 47 years. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Max and Jean Glaaser Wilson, and sister of the late Charles J. Wilson.
Mrs. Henry worked in real estate sales while living in California. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together, and made many friends here and abroad. She had an impressive memory for facts and history and was unbeatable at Trivial Pursuit. Adele moved back east to be near her family following Joseph’s death in 1993. She will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends.
Adele is survived by her sister-in-law Leatrice Wilson, her niece Wendy Maks and husband Gary, her 2 nephews Wayne (Melissa) and Douglas Wilson. She is also survived by her great nephew Christopher Maks (Casey) and her 2 great nieces Megan Brault (Andrew) and Aubrey Maks.
Funeral Services and Interment for Adele and her husband Joseph will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Louise T. Cimorelli of North Wales died peacefully on Wednesday, January 5, at Regina Nursing Center, Norristown, PA surrounded by her family. She was 93.
She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony M. Cimorelli.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Louis C. and Louisa F. Pancari Lanetto.
Mrs. Cimorelli was a resident of Regina Nursing Center for the past three years. She formerly resided in Quakertown and had lived in Warrington for 35 years. Mrs. Cimorelli was a devout Catholic with a strong devotion to St. Jude. She was a family oriented individual who always enjoyed the special times spent with her children and grandchildren. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and completing puzzles, whether it be jigsaw or crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her four children, Anthony M. Cimorelli Jr. and his wife, Peg, of Quakertown, Louis C. Cimorelli Sr. and his wife, Ann, of Doylestown, Ann C. Moran and her husband, Michael, of North Wales, and Jeanne T. Mazurek and her husband, Stanley, of Quakertown. She is also survived by her five loving grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Daniel Joseph Ryan, Jr.

Daniel Joseph Ryan, Jr. of Newtown died peacefully on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, surrounded by his family and friends.
Daniel was the beloved husband of Rita M. Harding Ryan and the late Agatha T. Heiss Ryan.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Daniel Joseph, Sr. and Margaret Greeley Ryan.
Dan was a former resident of West Philadelphia and the Mayfair section of Philadelphia before moving to Newtown. He retired in 1986 as a Supervisor after 30 years of service with Bell Telephone, followed by 10 years with Philadelphia Park until 1997. He was a veteran of the U S Army serving during World War II, and a member of the Shanahan Catholic Club in West Philadelphia. Dan was a daily communicant of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown, as well as a member of the Men of Malvern for over 40 years. Dan was a faithful, kind and humble man who will be deeply missed by his family and all who came to know and love him.
In addition to his wife Rita, Dan is survived by his children, Ann R. (Charles) Ruggieri of Newtown, Maria M. Ryan of Broomall, and Patricia R. (William) Johnson of Jamison, his step children, Sharon A. (Edward) Miniscalco and Michael P. (Rose) Harding, all of Churchville. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Emily, and Olivia and his 6 step grandchildren, Brandon, Devon, Patrick, Jenna, James, and Marisa.
