Julia A. Miller Fredericks, of Levittown, formerly of Mayfair, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Crestview Health Care in Langhorne. She was 87.
She was the beloved wife of the late James G. Fredericks. Born in Pottstown, she was the last of 10 children of the late John and Anna Bentz Miller and mother of the late James G. Fredericks, Jr.
Julia was a resident of Bucks County for the past 6 years. A widow at a very early age she devoted herself to her 2 children. She was a woman of many talents, whether cooking, gardening or just helping others. Julia enjoyed music, walking and was an avid reader. She volunteered her time to Caring Hands at St. Mary Medical Center, where she crocheted many blankets for those less fortunate.
As grandmothers do, she looked forward to being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spoil them as much as possible. She will be sadly missed by her devoted family and her many friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary J. Sewter, her 4 dear grandchildren; Joseph C. Sewter,Jr, Tracey Lynn Sewter-Cohen, James G. Fredericks III, Matthew M. Fredericks and her 4 great grandchildren; Gabrielle N. Cohen, Kaylee L. Cohen, Lydia and Annabelle Fredericks.
Julia’s family will receive condolences on Saturday January 22, 2011 from 10:30am until her Memorial Service 12 Noon at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.) at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will be private.
