Scott Cook

January 24th, 2011

Scott W. Cook, 35, of Lansing, Illinois, formerly of Rocky Hill and Pennington, NJ, died January 24, 2011.
Born on June 6, 1975 in Flemington, NJ, Scott is survived by his parents Ted and Debbie Cook of Irvington, Virginia, grandson of Eleanor P. Young of Rocky Hill, NJ and Barbara L. Cook of Chesapeake, VA; he was predeceased by his grandfathers Otto T. Young and Dr. Edgar L. Cook.
Scott graduated in the class of 1994 from The Pennington School. During high school he developed a passion for emergency response service. Often called “Smiley” by the men of the Pennington Fire Department, he was a Junior Fireman and received the Junior Fireman of the Year Award in 1994.
Throughout his high school years, Scott trained and showed horses and was an accomplished equestrian. Following graduation, he pursued his passion for horses and seized an opportunity to live in Oman, Germany and the Netherlands, where he trained and showed horses for many years.
In 2006, he returned to the United States and earned his national paramedic license and was employed by Prompt Ambulance Service in Indiana until his death.
Scott was a passionate and especially devoted to his family. He easily made friends wherever he travelled and held his friendships very close to his heart. His loving spirit will always be remembered by those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by a son, Koal, who he loved very much and Koal’s, brother Koy, with whom he had a special relationship; his one dear brother, Peter T. Cook and his wife, Cathy of Flossmoor, IL, and his loving sister Dr. Kristin D. Cook Boozer and her husband Adam of Elkridge, MD, his three nieces Hannah, Eleanor and Kelly of IL, his aunts and uncles; Beverly and Robert Cramer of Ringoes, NJ, Carolyn and Ben Foose of Phoenix, AZ, David and Maureen Cook of Elizabethtown, PA, Richard and Trish Cook of Wilkesboro, NC, Stephen and Cindy Cook of Columbia, MO and Valerie Campbell of Chesapeake, VA, his beloved cousins Larry (Leslie) Embrey of Tacoma, WA, Melissa (Aaron) Fetterolf of England, and David (Kellie) Cramer of Pennington, NJ and several other cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the First Reformed Church of Rocky Hill, Washington St. & Reeve Rd. Rocky Hill, NJ 08553, where the family will receive friends following the service officiated by Pastor Linda Pepe. His interment will be held privately by the family.

Lee Zuckerman (Taback)

Lee Zuckerman, of Langhorne, died peacefully on January 22, 2011, at St. Mary Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 92.
She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Morris Zuckerman. Born in New York, she was formerly of Hicksville NY for over 44 years. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Mollie Taback.
Lee was a resident of Attleboro Retirement Village in Langhorne for the past 12 years. She was a woman of many talents. She loved to cook and bake and share her favorite recipes with family and friends. Always willing to play a game of chance, she looked forward to trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas to play the slot machines, as well as Bingo, Poker and Mah Jong with her many friends at Attleboro Retirement Community, in Langhorne.
Lee gave her time to many causes, she was a member of Ohev Shalom in Richboro and was a Charter Member of the St. Mary Medical Center Legacy Society where she received Exemplified volunteer status with over 4500 hours of time devoted to the hospital.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her 3 sons and was especially proud to be a grandmother and great grandmother. As grandmothers do, she looked forward to being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and fussing over them as much as possible. She will be sadly missed by her devoted family and many friends.
She is survived by her sons; Dr. Nathan Zuckerman and his wife Joanie Moogan Zuckerman of Langhorne, Howard F. Zuckerman of Germantown MD, and Dr. Joseph D. Zuckerman and his wife Janet of Mamaroneck, NY, her 6 dear grandchildren; Brian Zuckerman (Jennifer), Andrew Zuckerman (Beth), Lawrence Zuckerman (Fiancé Kim), Ryan Zuckerman (Grace), Scott and Matthew Zuckerman, and 6 great grandchildren; Jake, Carlye, Mason, Ryan, Brayden and Brendan Zuckerman and her very dear friend of 55 years Bertha Gordon of Delray Beach Fl.
Lee’s family will receive condolences on Sunday January 23, 2011 from 9:30 am until her Funeral Service 10:30 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will be at 1:30 pm in Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Mary Medical Center Foundation, 1717 Langhorne-Newtown Rd. Langhorne PA 19047, or The Foundation of the NYU Hospital for Joint Disease, 301 E. 17th St., New York ,NY 10003.

Anna M. (nee Skala) McCauley, of Philadelphia, died on January 22, 2011.
Anna was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. McCauley. She was the beloved mother to her sons and their wives, Edward and Mary of Wellesley, MA, Robert and Peggy Ann of Southport, NC, and Eugene and Karen of Phila. PA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Margaret, Theresa, Sr. Joan, RSM, and brother James.

Laura Jean Gail (Trifero)

Laura Jean (nee Trifero) Gail, of Holland, PA, died on January 22, 2011. Laurie was the beloved wife of Allan H. Gail, to whom she was married two days short of 29 years. She was the daughter of Jean Rostrom Trifero and the late John. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her loving son Bryant, daughter Emily; her brothers John, Rick, and William Trifero; her sisters Kathy and Ellen Trifero, and Beth Clark.
Born in Brookline, MA; raised in Natick, MA. Her ancestors include a Signer of the Declaration of Independence. Her great grand mother was a Suffragette.
Laurie graduated from Framingham State College. Her professional career includes Medical Records Technician at Lenard Morris Hospital (Natick, MA), Quality Assurance Supervisor Clinical Assays (Cambridge, MA), Teaching Assistant Rolling Hills Elementary School (Council Rock), Quality Assurance Coach Medquist Medical Transcriptions. Her greatest achievement was how well she raised her family.
Laurie loved spending her spare time in Nantucket, MA being on the beach, watching the waves, feeding the sea gulls and strolling downtown Nantucket. She also loved reading novels, watching a very diverse grouping of television and movies. She also enjoyed volunteering to help at Rolling Hills Elementary School in Holland, PA. Laurie also had a refined taste for the arts.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 11:00 AM until her Memorial Service 12:00 noon at Newtown Presbyterian Church, 25 N Chancellor St. (at E. Washington Ave.) Newtown, PA 18940. Julia A. Miller Fredericks, of Levittown, formerly of Mayfair, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Crestview Health Care in Langhorne. She was 87.
She was the beloved wife of the late James G. Fredericks. Born in Pottstown, she was the last of 10 children of the late John and Anna Bentz Miller and mother of the late James G. Fredericks, Jr.
Julia was a resident of Bucks County for the past 6 years. A widow at a very early age she devoted herself to her 2 children. She was a woman of many talents, whether cooking, gardening or just helping others. Julia enjoyed music, walking and was an avid reader. She volunteered her time to Caring Hands at St. Mary Medical Center, where she crocheted many blankets for those less fortunate.
As grandmothers do, she looked forward to being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spoil them as much as possible. She will be sadly missed by her devoted family and her many friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary J. Sewter, her 4 dear grandchildren; Joseph C. Sewter,Jr, Tracey Lynn Sewter-Cohen, James G. Fredericks III, Matthew M. Fredericks and her 4 great grandchildren; Gabrielle N. Cohen, Kaylee L. Cohen, Lydia and Annabelle Fredericks.

Henrietta A. Finnegan (Plum)

Henrietta A. Finnegan of Hilltown died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 83.
Henrietta was the beloved wife of 66 years to John J. Finnegan.
Born in Newark, NJ, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Alice Hemingsley Plum.
Henrietta was a former resident of New Britain Borough for 38 years before moving to Hilltown in 2002. For many years, she was a receptionist with Sylvan Pools in Doylestown. Henrietta was an avid painter of oil, acrylic and water-colors. She was a member of the Doylestown Art League, the Ladies of St. Jude Church and Senior’s at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Hilltown.
In addition to her beloved husband John, Henrietta is survived by her dearest children and their spouses, Jack and Susan Finnegan of Perkiomenville, PA, Kathy and John Arzberger of Chalfont and Colleen Finnegan Gross and her husband Bruce of Warminster. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Raymond P. Leuthy

Raymond P. Leuthy, of Northeast Philadelphia, died on Jan. 17, 2011, at Chandler Hall Hospice. He was 86.
He was the beloved husband of 34 years to the late Rita T. McGee Leuthy.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Julius and Clara Lacey Leuthy.
Ray was a resident of Delaire Landing for the past 6 years, having formerly lived in the Lawndale section of Philadelphia. He attended Germantown High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II with the17th and 82nd Airborne Divisions in Central Europe during the Battle of the Bulge and the Rhineland Campaigns. A master mechanic, he retired in 1986 after over 35 years with the former Fierstein Brothers Oldsmobile dealership in West Oak Lane. Ray was a wizard with his hands and could repair anything with a motor, he was a history buff especially concerning World War II.
Ray will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family and fellow Army comrades.
He is survived by his children; Sr. Bernadette (Raymond Mary), IHM of Camilla Hall, Michael J. Leuthy and his wife Judith of Cherry Hill NJ, and Donald A. Leuthy and his wife Denise of Newtown, and his dear granddaughter Janet Leuthy.

Edwin H. Reichert Jr.

Edwin H. Reichert Jr. of Mount Laurel, NJ died peacefully on Monday, January 17, 2011, at Statesman Nursing Home, Levittown, PA. He was 77.
He was the beloved husband of Margaretta S. Hoogerwerff Reichert for 30 years.
Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Edwin H. and Bertha V. Danner Reichert.
Mr. Reichert was a resident of Mount Laurel, NJ for the past 40 years. He attended Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia and graduated from the Pennsylvania University of Indiana. He was employed as an electronic technician at Maguire Air Force Base for 20 years and then went on to work for the National Weather Bureau for 16 years. After retiring from there, he gained employment as a security guard for Burlington County Highway Department in Mount Holly for six years. He was an amateur ham radio operator whose call numbers were N2BGE. He will be sadly missed as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his two sons, Edwin H. Reichert III of Rogers, AK and Richard A. Reichert and his wife, Sharyanna, of Winter Haven, FL and his step-son, Charles Walters of Mount Laurel, NJ. He is also survived by his sister, June E. Hottinger of Warminster, PA, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
