Anthony Caiazzo
Anthony J. Caiazzo, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, surrounded by his family at Heritage Towers, Doylestown, PA. He was 87.
He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Jeanette O'Rourke Caiazzo.
Born in Glens Falls, New York, he was the son of the late Aniello and Anna Siraco Caiazzo and brother of the late Angie Trecino of Glens Falls.
Anthony was a graduate of Glens Falls High School. Soon after graduating he enlisted into the U.S. Coast Guard and served during World War II in the European Theater. In February of 1946 he was honorably discharged at the USCG Personnel Separation Center in Brooklyn and returned home. Soon after, he relocated to St. Louis, MO where he found a wonderful wife, started a family and worked as a photo technician for the Department of Defense. Anthony was accomplished at many things; an avid golfer, fisherman and bowler - having thrown a few perfect “300” games and a member of the very elite “800” club. He enjoyed his time outdoors and in his later years he and Jeanette moved to Florida to enjoy the warmer weather and the ability to golf and fish whenever he wanted.
His zest for life and his family will always be remembered and admired.
In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his son Anthony A. Caiazzo and his wife Carrie of Chalfont, PA, his 2 sisters, Mary Corcoran of Glens Falls, NY, and Florence Luciano of Warsaw, NY and his brother Pasquale Caiazzo of Ft. Edward, NY. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Anthony A. Jr. and Nichole M. Caiazzo.
Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made in his name to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
