James "Jim" Burtt of Richboro, PA died peacefully on October 31, 2011 at the age of 91.

He was the husband of 51 years to Larice AR Burtt.

Jim was born in Chester, PA and began his early years with a love of dancing, singing and playing the organ that continued until the day he died.

Prior to going to college at Bucknell University he enlisted and served three years in the South Pacific during WWII. He met his wife to be, Larice, at Bucknell but before getting married went on to Columbia University to study History. At Neshaminy H.S., Jim taught history for many years and was also the Dean for several years. He enjoyed woodworking and ham radio but more than these he love to sail and Jim enjoyed taking friends and family down to the Jersey Shore or to Penn's Landing for and afternoon on his boat the "Lari B".

In addition to his devoted wife, Jim is survived by his son Jami and his wife Cindy, and his daughter Kyleann. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Anna, Justin and Nadine.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service 11:00AM, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 820 Almshouse Road, Ivyland, PA 18974. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Alzheimer Disease Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market St. Suite 102 Philaelphia, PA 19106
