Gerald Alden White, Sr.

June 11th, 2011

Gerald Alden White, Sr. of Newtown died peacefully on Saturday June 11, 2011, at his home with his family by his side.
He was 74.

He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Edith M. Wright White. Born on the family farm where he lived for most of his life, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Harriet Pidcock White, brother of the late H. Cooper White and William S. White.

Jerry attended Dolington School, then moved to Hillsville, VA., and finished his education. In 1959 he moved back to the family farm, where he worked in construction and farming. Jerry followed in his father’s footsteps working at Harry L. White Construction, later taking over the management of the company. Jerry grew the business and was well respected for his honesty and integrity. he retired in 2003.

Jerry was a farmer at heart, and always had a Belgium or Clydesdale horse. He also enjoyed the peacefulness of driving the tractor, plowing and planting, and working in his shop. In his spare time Jerry was a NASCAR enthusiast and worked as a mechanic on his friend’s race car.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is also survived by his caring children; Karen Lynne Florczak and her husband William of Newtown, Gerald A. White, Jr and his wife Dianna of Jamison, Debra M. White and her fiance John Sands III of Warminster, Garrett A. White and his wife Jennifer of Langhorne, his 2 brothers and their wives Robert O. White and his wife Gladys of Langhorne, Richard D. White and his wife Margaret of N. Dakota, his sister Mary Jane Mims of Doylestown. He is also survived by his 10 wonderful grandchildren; Patricia, Candace, Melissa, Kelly, Jessica, Sarah, Kevin, Kristen, Rachel and Elizabeth, and 1 great grandson, Angelo, and his sister-in-laws; Elizabeth White and Charlotte White.

Jerry’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday June 15, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until his Funeral Service 10:00 am at New Life Christian Church, 4 Freedom Drive Newtown, PA 18940 with the Reverend Dr. Norman J. Leve, officiating.
Interment will be in Wrightstown Friends Cemetery, Wrightstown.

Anthony D.Scannelli, of Warwick, PA, died on June 9, 2011.

He was formerly of Philadelphia and Southampton.

Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Kennedy). He was the dearest father of Anthony M. Scannelli, Tracey A. Kennedy and her husband, John, and Nicole M. Aglira and her husband, David and of Cecilia Gelenberg and the late Dominick Scannelli. He was the loving grandfather of Delaney, Shane, Alec and the late Angel and the late Christian.

T. Wayne White

June 9th, 2011

T. Wayne White, of Colmar, PA passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was 53 years old.

He was the beloved husband of Donna E. Szakacs White for the past 26 years.

Wayne was the son of the late Frederick and Edith Hoagland White and brother of the late Robert H. White.

Born in Doylestown and raised in Lahaska, Wayne graduated from New Hope Solebury High School in 1976. He was a resident of Colmar, PA for the past 27 years. Wayne was a devoted heating and air conditioning technician for Clyde S. Walton Inc. of Lansdale, PA.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is also survived by his three loving children, Lisa A. Pan, M.D. and her husband, Raymond J. Pan, M.D., of Pittsburgh, John C. White of Tampa, FL, and Amy E. White of Colmar. He is also survived by his brother, David W. White of Norristown, his sister-in-law, Donna M. White, of Tamaqua and his dear grandchildren, Zion C. Thomas, Sofia M. and Elenora M. Pan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday evening, June 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. R. Mary Stezzi Cobleigh (Keaton)

R. Mary Stezzi Cobleigh of Oakford died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at her residence. She was 92.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late John F. Stezzi who died in 1962 and the late Glen Cobleigh who died in 2009. She was the loving mother of the late Regina Mary Stezzi and sister of the late Jeanne McElroy.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jean Donnelly Keaton.

Mary has been a life long resident of Oakford, and was an original parishioner of Assumption B.V.M. Church where she spent countless hours planning and working on fundraising for the parish and school. Throughout her life, Mary has always been involved with her community managing countless civic, church, and social organizations.

Following the untimely death of her Husband, John Stezzi, Mary went to work at the Bucks County Court House where she served as receptionist for 5 different District Attorneys. Mary was known as the heart of the Office, and the woman who could breathe life into any plant near her. In 1975 she married Glen Cobleigh, and they shared a wonderful life and folded their families together as one until his death in 2009.

Mary was a gracious and dynamic woman who stopped at nothing to help others. She shared her joy of life, her unconditional love and enduring support with all who needed it and most especially with her extensive family. She was known and loved by scores of people in all walks of life because of her active and far reaching life and will be sorely missed by all of those she touched.

Mary is survived by her dearest children and their spouses, Mary Ellen and Bill Bornak, John and Diane Stezzi, Tim and Nancy Stezzi, Joe and Paula Stezzi, Mary Ann and the late Larry Michaels, and Elaine and Dick Fitzgerald. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Keaton, her sister Madeleine Fox, 21 loving grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

William R. Hannah

William R. Hannah, a resident of Holland for 43 years, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Chandler Hall Hospice with his family by his side. He was 75.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the beloved husband of the late Florence Staudenmeyer Hannah and father of the late William R. Hannah, II.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, stationed in Germany. He was a graduate of Frankford High School, Class of 1953. Bill was employed by Jade Corporation of Huntingdon Valley as a Tool and Die Maker for many years. He was a faithful member of the Church of the Good Samaritans in Holland where he was a Deacon for many years.

Bill is survived by his daughter-in-law, Edith Carroll Hannah, his beloved granddaughters, Kathryn Marie and Kelsey Elizabeth. He is also survived by his son, Stuart G. Hannah of Waynesboro, PA and his brother, David Hannah and his wife, Helen.

Bill’s family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2011, from 2:30 PM until his Memorial Service 3:00 PM at the Church of the Good Samaritans, 964 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. Interment will be private.

Curtis E. Etheredge, of Chalfont, PA died on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at his home with his wife by his side. He was 75.
He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Carol Giarrocco Etheredge.
Born in Mobile, AL, he was the son of the late James and Maude Gilley Etheredge.
In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his sons Curtis E. Etheredge Jr. and his wife Kathleen, of Harleysville, PA and James B. Etheredge of Freeland, PA, and his 2 brothers both who reside in Tampa, FL. He is also survived by his 2 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson.

Irene H. Nosek of Holland, PA died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Twining Village Health Care, Holland, PA. She was 84.

Irene was the beloved wife of 62 years to Francis “Frank” J. Nosek.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Teofil and Helen Weselofska Kedzierski and the mother of the late Susan M. and Mary Ann Nosek.
Irene was a former resident of Syosset, NY for 52 years before moving to Holland in 2006. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband Frank, Irene is survived by her children, Deborah L. Liebesman and her husband Jeff of Yorba Linda, CA, Irene M. DeMaio of Bridgewater, NJ and Christine M. Mulder and her husband David of Newtown, PA. Also survived by her brother, Thaddeous Kedzierski of Bakersfield, CA, her two sisters, Marian Kurpiewski of Queens, NY and Lucyann Kobus of Syosset, NY, and her seven cherished grandchildren.

Daniel I. O'Rourke

Daniel I. O'Rourke, of Penns Park, died on Sunday, June 5, 2011. He was 22.

Born in Abington, he was the son Daniel O’Rourke and his partner Regina Schultz and Deborah Geese and her partner Robert Rock.

Dan was a resident of Penns Park for all of his life; he was a 2008 graduate of Council Rock High School, Newtown. Dan was a general contractor and landscaper who loved the outdoors, he was especially happy when he was on his dirt bike, cruising on his quad or just riding a bike, with the wind at his back. Dan will be truly missed be his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his sister Renee Marie Katitis and her husband Jeff who was his best buddy. His Maternal grandparents, Gary and Karin Kosmatka, he was the nephew of Bill and Margie O'Rourke, David and Patricia Wheeler, Chris and Michelle O’Konski and Donna Klumb.

Dan’s family will receive condolences on Friday June 10, 2011 from 12 Noon until his Memorial Service 1:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will be Private.

Dolald W. Eustice, of Coatesville, PA died peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Brandywine Hospital. He was 61.
He was the beloved husband of 14 years to Deborah L. “Debbie” Campbell Eustice. Born in Pittson, PA, he was the son of the late Wesley and Estelle Sudnick Eustice and brother of the late James Eustice.
Don was a resident of Coatesville for the past 5 years, having formerly lived in Northeast Philadelphia. Don was a graduate of Frankford High School and received his degree in Psychology from Temple University in 1972. For the past 6 years Don has been a Wealth Advisor with Vanguard Financial Service. A man of many talents Don looked forward to spending time reading, fishing and watching sports. His family came first and he was always there to support them on the rode of life. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughter, Victoria L. Margaret Ethem (Finnegan)

Margaret Finnegan Ethem of Doylestown died on Saturday, June 4, 2011, with her family by her side at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. She was 71.
She was the beloved wife for 46 years of Mel R. Ethem.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late William V. and Helen Murray Finnegan.
Mrs. Ethem was a resident of Doylestown for the past 22 years. She graduated from Fontbonne Hall Academy in the Bayridge section of Brooklyn, NY, Class of 1956. Margaret gave freely of her time and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, Women’s Place, and Meals on Wheels. Her family came first and foremost in her life. She adored her grandchildren and cherished the special times spent with them. She will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her two children, William R. Ethem and his wife, Lisa, of Holland Township, NJ and Ann M. Carracappa and her husband, Joseph A. III, of Lansdale, PA. She is also survived by her sister, Sally A. Finnegan of Glastonbury, CT and her six loving grandchildren; Jessica, Jacqueline, Jillian, Melanie, Max and Matthew.
