Dean F. Paist

May 19th, 2012

Dean F. Paist, of Langhorne, died peacefully on Saturday May 19, 2012 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown.

Born in Omaha NE, Dean was a direct descendent of the Black Foot Nation of American Indians from Kansas. His great grandmother was a Blackfoot Squaw; his grandfather was born an albino and thought to be a god.

Dean was the beloved husband of the late Anna Hartman Paist, and son of the late Ira and Nellie Mae Shurtleff Paist.

Dean was a resident of Lower Southampton Township for the past 61 years. He has been a faithful member for 59 years at the Scottsville United Methodist Church in Langhorne. In 1978 he retired from SKF Inc. of Philadelphia where he was a machinist for 37 years.

Dean was a very active member of his community; he served as a Troop leader for Boy Scout Troop # 78 in Feasterville for over 10 years and has been a dedicated Mason for 59 years, as a fraternal brother in the Houseman Lodge # 717 and the Newtown Lodge # 427 F and AM.

Before the death of his beloved wife Anna in 2008, Dean and Anna would travel and camp throughout the United States and they enjoyed every mile they traveled and the pictures they took are a family treasure. He will be sadly missed by his devoted children and his growing family and friends.

Dean his survived by his devoted children and their spouses, Dean F. Paist and his wife Doreen of Ottsville, Donna J. Gerlach and her husband Bill of Marco Island FL. He is also survived by his 6 dear grandchildren: Christine and her husband Matthew, Scott and his wife Donna, Kevin, Karen and her husband Lew, and Suzanne and her husband Floyd, Arthur and his wife Christin and 10 great grandchildren: Christine and her husband Phil, Stephanie and Brian, Damian, Dean, Danny, Hannah, Dylan, Dakota, Aidan and Jack and great great grandsons Ethan and Joey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday evening May 22, 2012 from 6:00PM until Masonic Services 7:30pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until his Funeral service 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro.

Interment will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery.

Dr. Henry L. Pearlberg

May 18th, 2012

Dr. Henry L. Pearlberg of Bradenton, FL since and formerly of Bucks County died peacefully on May 18, 2012 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL. He was 91.

He was the beloved husband of 16 years to Germaine Pearlberg and also to the late Kathleen Rafferty Pearlberg.

Born in Philadelphia, PA Dr. Pearlberg, was the son of the late Jacob and Bella Pearlberg.

Henry was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II, He attended The Curtis Institute of Music and was a graduate of West Chester University, University of Pennsylvania, and was awarded a Doctor of Musical Arts from Combs College of Music. He had a distinguished career as an Music Educator in the Philadelphia Public School system and a Fine Arts Administrator in the Neshaminy School District. He was a member of the American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars, a board member of Manatee Symphony Association, and board member of Palma Sola Trace Villa Association. He moved to Bradenton in 2001 from Bucks County, PA.

In addition to his wife Germaine, Henry is survived by his loving children; Henry J. Pearlberg (June) of East Fallowfield, PA, Joseph H. Pearlberg of Boston, MA, Mary Beth Pearlberg (Edward Harlow) of Boston, MA, Anne Marie Owings (David) of Chalfont, PA. He is also survived by step-daughters, JoAnne Hardesty (Charles) of Maple Glen, PA, Lee Ann Guenther (Philip) of Brigantine, NJ; Jacqueline Messa (John Radman) of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Janine Brodovsky (William) of Abington, PA, and his grandchildren, Christopher, Kathleen, Emma, Alex, Julia, Olivia, Benjamin and Seth.

Relatives and friend are invited to attend his viewing Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 9:00am until his Funeral Service 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (Route 202 and Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901.

Patricia Olmsted (Houy)

May 17th, 2012

Patricia Houy Olmsted, of Doylestown, died peacefully Thursday May 17, 2012 with her loving family by her side at Abington Hospice at Warminster.

She was 79.

Born in Pittsburgh, she was the beloved wife of Robert H. Olmsted for the past 54 years and daughter of the late Lucian and Ann Morrissey Houy and sister of the late Robert Houy.

Patricia was a graduate of Duquesne University with her degree in Education. Patricia has been a resident of Doylestown for the past 43 years and a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.

Patricia gave her time and talents to many causes; she was active with the Questers, the League of Women Voters and the Lingohocken Garden Club. Pat and her husband have spent many happy years enjoying their family and friends at Doylestown Country Club. In her later years, Patricia thoroughly enjoyed bus trips to area casino with friends.

She will be long remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and for her caring manner and love.

In addition to her beloved husband Robert, she is survived by her 3 loving daughters; Michele A. Brennecke and her husband Timothy, Melissa M. Bakeman, and Sharon E. Lancaster and her husband Matthew, and her 8 loving grandchildren; Kyle, Jillian, Geoffrey, Bryan, Ryan, Regan, Alex and Madison.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday evening May 21, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (Rt. 202 and Sandy Ridge Rd.) Alfred Angelo DiPatrizio

Alfred Angelo DiPatrizio of Doylestown died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 64.

Alfred was the beloved husband of 46 years to Janet L. Bily DiPatrizio.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Alfred and Helen DeCaesare DiPatrizio.

Alfred was a resident of Doylestown for over 30 years and was a Communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Doylestown. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and doing work around his home. Alfred enjoyed spending quality time with his family and will be deeply missed by all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved wife Janet, Alfred is survived by his children, Alfred J. DiPatrizio of Doylestown, Mario A. DiPatrizio and his wife Denise of Perkasie, and Dr. Nicholas V. DiPatrizio and his wife Karen of Irvine, CA. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter, Brittni A. DiPatrizio of Perkasie, and his two brothers, Benedetto DiPatrizio and his wife Susan of Philadelphia, and Anthony Parisi and his wife Jackie of West Collingswood Heights NJ. In addition, he is survived by his brothers-in-law, Joseph Bily and his wife Eileen of Churchville, and Ronald Bily of Philadelphia, and many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth J. Sanitago

Kenneth J. Santiago of Holland, Pa died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 40 years young.

He was the beloved husband of Tanja Santiago for 7 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Pacita P. Santiago of Holland, PA and the late Felixberto G. Santiago.

Kenneth was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. He graduated from Archbishop Wood High School, Class of 1989 and received his Associates Degree in Computer Science at the Northern Virginia Community College.

Kenneth turned his passion for computers into his profession. For the past 2 years he worked as an IT-Engineer at ManTech Corporation in Northern Virginia. He enjoyed collecting guns and spending time at the range. Family was of the utmost importance to him and he treasured the special times spent with his wife and children. He will be sadly missed as a selfless loving husband, father, son, and brother.

In addition to his wife and mother, Kenneth is survived by his two children, Tea Marie Santiago and Maximillian John Santiago and his brother, Keith A. Santiago of Holland.

Michele E. Zimmerman (Price)

May 15th, 2012

Michele E. Price Zimmerman of Doylestown passed into the loving arms of her Lord on May 15, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was 57.

Born in Illinois she moved to Pennsylvania in 1971. She is the daughter of George Price of Berks County and Sandy Price of Doylestown. She was the beloved wife to Matthew Zimmerman for 31 years. Michele is survived by her daughter Katelyn and son Sean, both at home.

She is preceded in death by her loving in-laws, Elayne and Leon Zimmerman. Michele cherished her brother Dennis Price and sister Sherrie Peters (Craig) her niece and nephew, Rachael and Zach, her sister-in-law Benna Sherman (Steve) her nephew Michael and niece Kate Rogers.

Michele obtained her degree as an LPN from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Norristown, and worked for many years at Warminster Hospital and Quakertown Hospital. Michele loved her family and her faith. She loved to sew, cook, bake, knit, and work with beads. Most of all, Michele loved being “Mom” to many people. She volunteered many hours with Relay for life in honor of her son Sean and also volunteered and participated in the Gilda’s Club at Doylestown Hospital. Her home was always open.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (Rt. 202 at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901, where friends may call from 3:00p.m. until her service at 4:00pm.

Interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.

Robert W. Skillman

Robert W. Skillman of Newtown, died peacefully on Saturday May 12, 2012
at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 71.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Robert H. Skillman and Kathryn Prutzman Skillman Rex.

Bob was a graduate of Delhaas High School. He was a proud veteran of the United State Army and has been a long time resident of Newtown.

He was chief executive officer of Real Estate Excel, which was founded by him and his wife Joyce in 2000. Bob and Joyce were inseparable, not only as husband and wife but as co-workers and traveling around the world together.

Bob enjoyed many things in life, but what he most looked forward to spending time with his devoted wife Joyce, his 2 sons Kirk and Capt. Rob at their summer home in Ocean City, Maryland, fishing with them and his best friend Ed. Bob loved his boat and spent many hours tinkering and getting nothing done, then have his son Capt. Rob fix it. Bob had a dry sense of humor, so dry that just looking at him made you laugh. He will be deeply missed by his devoted family and friends and in their hearts forever.

Katherine M. Wicen (Clancy)

Katherine Wicen of Doylestown, PA died peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2012, at Pine Run Health Care, Doylestown. She was 90.
She was the beloved wife of the late Francis “Frank” Wicen and the late James Jannaman and mother of the late James Jannaman, Jr.
Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary O’Malley Clancy.
Mrs. Wicen was a longtime resident of Furlong before moving to Doylestown 6 years ago.
Katherine served for many years as a Police Officer in Elsmere, DE and then she worked for Continental Trailways. When she moved to Bucks County, she worked along side her husband Frank his brother Stephen at on the Wicen’s Farming operation and also on the Wicen’s Shooting Range in Furlong for many years. She and her husband were avid hunters and Markspersons and she also enjoyed bowling with her friends and family. She was also lifetime member of the Midway Fire Department Women’s Auxillary and also a member of Doylestown Chapter 327 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her nephews, Joseph Wicen and his wife, Lori, and Rudy Wicen and his wife Carol, her niece, Linda McHenry and her husband, Charles, and two great nieces, Kiera and Erin. She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Catherine J. Armstrong of Holland, PA died peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at her residence. She was 95.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles E. Armstrong.
Born in Port Reading, NJ, raised in the Harrowgate section of Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Matilda Morath Nee and sister of the late Joseph Nee, Marian Mullen, Dorothy Murphy, and Marguerite Kane.
Mrs. Armstrong was a resident of Holland for the past 14 years. She formerly resided in the Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia for 38 years. She was a caring and giving individual who always put her family first. Catherine enjoyed the special times spent with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo, playing a game of bridge or pinochle, the Jersey shore and visiting family members in Florida. She will be sadly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her son, Charles E. Armstrong Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of South Huntington, NY, her daughter, Kathleen M. Schuck and her husband, Robert, of Holland, PA, her brother, Patrick J. Nee and her sister, Patricia Gardner, both of Fort Lauderdale, FL. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Melissa Schuck, Ryan Schuck and his wife, Phyllis, Brendan Schuck, and Kevin Schuck and numerous nieces and nephews.

William E. Hart Sr.

William E. Hart Sr. of Holland, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 84.

He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Ann Neamand Hart.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 27, 1928, he was the son of the late John and Mary Crabtree Hart.

William was a resident of Holland since 1968. Before his retirement in 2001, he was employed for 38 years as a supervisor for Holland Enterprises, Inc. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Regina Mundi Council # 4052 located in Feasterville, PA. He always liked the outdoors and took special pride in caring for his lawn. He was a family oriented individual who enjoyed the special times spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his two children, Margaret M. Krause and her husband, William Krause of Holland, William E. Hart, Jr. and Rudolph Else of Holland and two sisters, Esther Kershaw of Sahaurita, AZ and Margaret Boyd of Allentown, PA. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Irene Keeler (Lou), Sharon Manna (Tom), Margaret Tolson, William C. Krause Jr., four great grandchildren, Rachael, Katlyn, Zachary, and Grace, and 1 great great granddaughter, Ainsley Jade.
